India successfully test-fires sub-sonic cruise missile Nirbhay
India on Tuesday successfully test fired cruise missile Nirbhay from the Interim Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur in Odisha. Nirbhay, which has a range of 1000 km, was fired at 11:55 am from a mobile launcher and hit a pre-designed target set in the sea. The two-stage sub sonic missile can travel at a speed of 0.7 Mach.
Though India has the technology of supersonic missiles like BrahMos jointly developed by India and Russia, Nirbhay with a medium range is a different kind of missile being developed by the Aeronautical Development Establishment, a Defence Research and Development Organisation laboratory based at Bangalore.
Nirbhay has good loitering capability, control and guidance, a high degree of accuracy in terms of impact and very good stealth features, ITR sources said.

No where they have Quoted any DRDO or any other official saying, that its a success. We still have to wait for half an hour for official confirmation.
Stupid Media needs to understand the difference between "Successful Launch" and "Successfully Test Fired"

Is this missile re-usable ?
I mean I have heard the missile can be recalled via remote control after delivering the package.
