I do shun nationalism, as does pretty much every religious Muslim.

I disagree completely. The vast majority of Muslim members here(I will say over 90%) from what I have noticed are nationalistic about their country, I suppose it's the same for their Countries and they celebrate their country's national heroes/freedom fighters like a national treasure/someone to look up to . So using your logic they are not real Muslims. Lol
Reasons I said you can't always follow religious/holy book by the word, else you wont even be living here in U. K among unbelievers/kafirs, especially when you are an adult and you have the choice to move to an Islamic country like KSA, Pakistan, Iran etc with more Islamic laws, beliefs and values.
Reason I said we have all adapted to this changing world (Muslims included, whether they are aware of it or not).

As I post on other thread, although we Muslim don't believe 25th December is the birth date of Hazrat Essa (Jesus) PBUH but would like to convey my wishes to all those who celebrate this event...

I have read Quran and understand it for years.
Quran has special place and special respect for Jesus. According to Quran He is an Islamic Prophet . But ya .. Muslims and Christians has different point of views on Jesus about His timeline and purpose of His life.
But still He is a Muslims Prophet.
BTW I dont mind to celebrate any festival as im a non religious guy.
I just need an excuse to celebrate and enjoy my life

So we are almost there - time for me to say "Merry Christmas" to all. Let's celebrate the one thing that all members here share - our essential humanity and that goodness is quality that is trans-national and found across all of our species. So where ever you and and who ever you are I wish you a happy X'mas and peace. Our house will be full because my twin daughters birthday is on the 25th and family members from far and near are coming - the holidays affords everybody a unique opportunity to get together. So we might not be Christians but every years this time of the year is time to get together. Lots of Chicken, Kebabs, Karai, cakes, sweets, desserts are going to be consumed.

Although I don't celebrate Christmas, I do respect others right to celebrate this holiday, whether for religious reasons or purely for the sake of enjoying the holiday spirit. One cannot and should not force their own beliefs on others. If one believes their own religious beliefs to be superior then they should lead by example. In other words practice what you preach.

That being said, the winter season and the snow certainly do add a magical appearance/feel to the holiday along with the many decorations and rituals rooted in Pagan Germanic/Norse traditions that predate Christianity.

I could imagine Christmas in places like Texas, Egypt or Australia must be dull in comparison.

BTW, speaking of snow, there was that big blizzard in NYC back in 2016. Huge. Had a great time sledding with friends.

For the sake of their religious health [Iman] you ought to do what they did - shift them back to a more religious place. Alochol laden air, scanty women, haram banking, haram government, paying taxes to Jew banking government. Not good. Not good at all. Preach what you practice. Ship out. Prove that religions prevails over all worldly needs. No empty talk. Sacrifice in what you believe in. Live in a place where Muslims are the majority. Find your Dar al Islam. Leave Dar Al Harb.

All this is going to flounder on your parents? They had parents in Pakistan or grandparents and they left them behind or dragged them here. If they could do it, you can as well.

Interestingly all of these "Islamic" countries (Iran, Saudi/GCC) have very strigent immigration policies even towards their own fellow Muslims. It's funny how that works. Iranians and Saudis would never accept South Asian Muslims as their equals.

Not really a moderate tempreture Christmas is always better no ?
The only place in Pakistan that can has a respectable Christian population number and can get a white Christmas is Murree and it rarely gets snowfall om Christmas day snowfall normally a jan affair
