Hit the nail on the head there, its not good seeing some of the response on this thread, makes you think what has become of Pakistan.
Exactly, its going downward stream to extremism / religious fanaticism the end of which is total destruction and no one is even trying to pull it back. No one even think that we lack tolerance.. Now, people will think as image issue.. The hell with the image, we need to identify our mistakes, weaknesses, problems in our society and move forward. People will point out india also do lot more then us as far as hindu extremists are concerned.. Well, the hell with them. We should not compete with them in wrong things. We need to be better and improve ourselves.

They can live their religion freely as long they dont break any greek laws.

Fun fact its also not allowed to rip out peoples hearts. Doesnt mean we block aztec religion.
Your law discriminates people of Muslim and Jewish faiths. It was also law to boycott and kill Jews in Germany.

I understand for Pakistanis it is difficult to be accountable for immoral/unethical actions when you see Indians brutalizing their minorities on a daily basis and the world doesn't care. I know you might feel this is unfair but just understand the moral path is the most difficult and if you stick to it you will be rewarded.

Our barometer is not an Indian or a Euro who skips Indian atrocities to focus their hate on you.
I know its difficult but if I can go to my local Bakery and ask for Eid Mubarak on a cake the same treatment should be given to a Hindu on Diwali or a Christian on Christmas... you are right though, the barometer should be set higher than it currently is. As long as people like you exist there is hope.
Anyway what was supposed to be a trivial matter has been highjacked by nutters as usual.

Mate, wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment, if this was shit slinging match would these fairies still compete...No.
Take the moral high ground and don't lower yourself to their level. There is enough trouble going around with Pakistani ancestry in UK but these morons make life more difficult.

Nice engineering.

Where is @Patriot forever and his weird fear of media control. This news channel recently got acquired by some political tycoon.

This is not even in Karachi. The illegal bakery should be demolished.

Two bakeries in Karachi have been under fire on social media for refusing to write Merry Christmas on cakes.

On December 21, a woman took to the Facebook group Voice of Customer and narrated the incident that took place with her at the Khayaban-e-Jami branch of Delizia.
She said when she asked them to write Merry Christmas on a cake, the staffer declined and said that they are “not allowed to write it”. He said that they have been given “orders about this from the kitchen”.

The post sparked outrage on social media. Several people called it discrimination against minorities.
When SAMAA Digital contacted Delizia on their call center they said that they were not authorized to comment on the matter and gave the Jami branch’s contact.
The person, a staffer, who received the call at the Jami branch refused to acknowledge that any such incident took place at the bakery. He said there were a number of Christian employees at the bakery and it was very unlikely that something like this would happen.
When asked for the branch manager’s number, the staffer said that they are not allowed to share contacts.
Earlier, the senior management of Delizia told Dawn Images that the incident was not the company’s policy, but an individual’s act. They added that action against the staffer is being taken.
This is not the first time someone has accused Delizia of discrimination. In 2018, the bakery’s staff told a woman that they can’t write Merry Christmas on their cake as per the company policy.
The company claims that following the 2018 incident, there were dismissals.
Staff at Aunty Munaver’s refuses to write Merry Christmas
In another Facebook post on December 22, a woman said that the staff at Aunty Munaver, a bakery located in Clifton’s Bokhari Commercial Area, refused to write Merry Christmas on a customer’s cake. They said that they had instructions from the management in this regard.

dude according to Muslims 25 december is not the birthday of Prophet Jesus Christ. 25 dec is related to a pagan god.

Yes you do, how dare they refuse to serve your highness. Whip them these peasants

10 bucks say this entitled woman of gated community went to the shop and figured out the most conservative employee and chose to ruin her career for her lifestyle choices.

Boycott these bakeries if they discriminate against other religions.

Obviously cakes of Karachi are more important than life threatening attacks of Madhya Pardesh

I got your point

This is more painful but unlike you, i am not going to open a thread on this..

witnessed British hooliganism at the Karachi airport this very month. deplorable to say the least.

The Islamic world is embracing mutli-cultural ties, embracing modern human values

People will react if someone subvert the indeginous culture with corporate one or expects the locals to empty their pockets for celebrating some thing alien to them hiding behind an undefined and vague term like modernity .

The confectionaries however didn't refuse them the baking service/s but declined pasting a phrase which goes against the very basic of their faith . Iam sure any sane muslim won't show up at a bakery owned by a hindu and ask him to personally write bakra eid Mubarak- -----.

If bibi didn't wanna do it someone else could have.

how did this make to electronic media?

IMF should not bailout Pakistan.
