The fishy thing is, why would they attack the passenger side and let the driver get out alive if it indeed was a stolen vehicle? You surely go for the driver in case of a stolen vehicle.

The driver's side did receive bullet holes. I wouldn't put Kenyan police up at international nor even high standards considering there were multiple lapses here. Plus there have been multiple incidents in the past showing such negligence.

The shooting hit the car from all sides. The incident left the car with nine bullet holes on the left side of the windscreen, which is the side the deceased was sitting; two bullet holes on the rear left back screen, one bullet hole on the rear right door, four holes right side of the boot and one front right tyre that had been deflated.
