JF17 is not fit for a true anti ship strike role. It is too small of an aircraft.

JH7A still rules higher on mission capability---.

a smart missile does wonders

and costs much less to develop and operate.

We have to learn from sinking of moskova where an advanced version of air defence was fooled by a UAV and 2 less advanced cruise missiles went through with ease without any intercepts.

Once you have the means tactics play the main role. U can't just rely upon the weapons alone

PN would better rely on its future Sea Sultan as a missile carrier escorted by JF-17s. Or as the images show J-10Cs in Mirage camo, perhaps they would be employed for role. JH-7 ship has long sailed.

J10c can carry anti-ship missiles? or let me rephrase can our j10ce carry any anti-ship missiles.

I would suggest looking at the upcoming B-52 bombers---.

How about the F15's---the newer one.

The strike aircraft are a different breed. Their utility is different.

So regardless of what aircraft---Pak navy needs a heavy aircraft to carry 2 --- 1000 KG each ASh missile 400-500 miles out to sea before launch.

This means keeping the enemy 600-800 miles away from your shoreline.

The UAV's cannot travel the distance we want them to---.

We want to be 400---500 miles away from our land and into the enemy territory.

Modern missiles are extremely effective---but keeping the enemy farthest away from your shoreline is a big big +---.
