Istanbul set to host the first Middle Eastern Olympics in 2020

IOC announced three finalists, Madrid, Tokyo, and Istanbul.

Of three, Madrid has zero chance because of the current Spanish financial meltdown.

Tokyo too is unlikely because of elevated radiation in Tokyo and the fact that PyeongChang hosts its Winter Olympic games in 2018, just two years before 2020.

So Istanbul has this one in the bag. The real question is, can Istanbul keep Radical Islamists out?
