FN-6 is one of the best Manpad in the world. Better than Russian Igla and on par with Stinger.

How does it compare to qw1/2. Which ones are better?

The problem is Iraq with itself, they purchased Mi-28NE without integrated MAWS and no automated TWCMS system giving them almost zero capabilities countering advanced MANPADs since they will not get any warning and will have to flare manually since they don't have MAWS. For the Mi-35M they have only purchased old LIP/SPO15 active pulse doppler radar MAWS but which are unlikely to be copled to automated TWCMS. Iraq is trying to safe money while they actually lose more then they could ever safe.

of course it is different than proving itself against the latest apache or something, but you know what, proven against a older mi-35 is still better than unproven.

and for the record, a vast majority of weapons have not been used to fight peer competitor with same gen weaponry. for example we would all consider the m1a1 or the challenger II to be proven yet, like this case with the fn-6, they have only faced older t-72 with bad maintenance and worse crews.

FN-6 is superior to QW1/2. During the demonstration to arabs delegate, it impressed the Qatars and Saudis and they ordered large number of them.

It is not different than proving against latest Apaches, since Apaches have no standardized MAWS sensors at all, only 4 out of 16 RF squadron Apaches have AMASE pods, leaving rest of the fleet which are operating and have operated in Iraq war without MAWS, meaning they have to get warned over RF squadron Apache leading helicopters that there is incoming MANPAD/SAM and the time to warn people is not really big considering the high velocity of MANPADS.

And Iraq also had only monkey models produced by Poland made of RHA and most of those "T-72's" were actually Asad Babils produced by embargooed Iraq with mild steel additionally to the bad training.

That's true.

Iraq also uses MI-17v5's with MAWS but they were bought by the US through foreign military sales, our ministry of defense isn't that smart, they risk 10+ millions for a $100.000 defense upgrade. They might always wake up and purchase the upgrades.

nah, its a good ad. i may not like ISIS but these video do show that the FN-6 is a fine anti-air weapon, supposely downing a mi-35 which has anti-missile counter measures.

that said these missile most likely came from qatar which was supposedly going to "moderate rebels". clearly they didnt make it there or those rebels are not so moderate afterall

This isn't the first combat record for FN-6 anyway, FN-6 already shot down dozen of choppers during Syrian civil war.

Well if that is the case then the only effective solution against IIR-seekers is DIRCM, so they need to buy Presiden-S system from russia or anything similiar.

I personally have started to feel that this is just a excercise to decentralize the whole region supply weapons to both parties and let them kill each other and then when its settled do a flush from above Bombardment

The worst is , there are even different grades of infra seeker depending on lenses uses. The one PLA used will be the best. Still these FN-6 are shooting down helo and low flying aircraft like flies.

Syrian army has got old russian junk,,,and iraqi army was only recently looted.

The initial supply that made them do this was from the said sources only ie nato+middle east sunnis

I hate to admit it, but you are right bro. Saudi arabia, qatar and other sunni middle east countries bought these manpad from china a while ago. Im sure they are the ones who provided these jihadists scums with these(albeit with the approval of our governments). This is a source:

All weapons have come from eu/usa intended for syrian rebels against assad.
Most of those rebels have joined isis
