All of prophet Muhammed's (pbuh) wars were conducted against Arab monarchs who intended to destroy the small population of Muslims. Prophet broke the waste of tyrant Arab kingdoms, the kingdoms that had spreaded all over the Arabian peninsula.

When we say wars, in all of them prophet was defending himself except attack on Kheybar where Arab kingdoms and Jewish planners were united with each. Prophet first defused the threat of Arabs then brought Jews under control in Arabian Peninsula.

We don't disrespect the Sunni caliphs, Obviously they ruled Arabian Peninsula illegaly from Shia POV, but we are critical of their actions. You maybe ask why didn't Shias revolt against them? Because we always wanted unity of Muslims hence never raised arms against Sunni caliphs of that time.
