It may be mentioned that Daesh was involved in Holey Artisan Bakery Dhaka last year and Bangladeshi intelligence agencies got information that Daesh is operating from Kerala. However the issue of involvement of Daesh was buried due to political proximity of the Bangladesh government and the Indian government.

The stranded nurses, were later escorted by IS militants to Mosul where they met Indian officials, indicating the officials were in contact with IS. If any "back door " negotiation it was for the safe evacuation from IS held Mosul to Erbil in Iraq Kurdistan
