Yes,but we don't if koreans can achieve 100% localization rate at that power pack or not, once they have to order some part from MTU to manufacture their homemake power pack they will be blocked to expert their power pack to Turkey too. It's actually very disgusting~~ 💩

However, years-long efforts to develop a locally made transmission system – which would have boosted the company’s efforts to export the MBT – has yet to produce viable results, with the S&T Dynamics EST15K automatic transmission failing to meet reliability and durability under government-mandated standards that call for 320 hours of continued operation without faults.

It's not so easy to make a world beating 1500hp with auto transmission diesel engine. The amount of investment, talent and industrialization level are so high. I doubt even South Korea with an economy of less than USD 2 trillion can made it.

Even Japan struggle to match German MTU with only China, having a bigger resources and huge amount of investment succeeded.

Transmission is not yet a success, meanwhile I am talking about Doosan Engine. Doosan has huge experience making high power engine, particularly for vessels

The transmission not yet reach Korean Army requirement, but Turkish see the transmission is enough for their Altay tank program.
