What's new

Iraq buying weapons from Russia.

They should buy some good numbers of Mi-17 V5 from Russian with weapons on board:

You can't really trust the Russians. Though a good step on the part of Iraq in rearming itself, however it would have been better if they went to China.
bro this is the first step toward rearming while the defense budget is more than 15 billion for this year.

Iraq needs a comprehensive military construction as the military of Iraq became no more after the US invasion. The military structuring at this phase is critical for Iraq. Because this phase is what the next 50 years of armed forces will depend on.

Iraq is laying the base of the building you can say, and dpeending on the base the final building will look like.

And to my fellow country men here. Iraq can be an ally of we play our cards yet, because it is apparent that Iraq as of now is in a locked in stage as it should. Many of our own companies have flocked into the "Rebuilding of Iraq" business.

ARAMCO for instance is helping Iraq restart its oil production, Hadeedco is setting up the Steel and Iron industry, SABIC is helping Iraq set up the petrochemicals industry and much more.

it is a good step make good relation and business with all the countries

I really don't want to disrespect no one but plze get real :disagree:

why do you have to disrespect people? this is in fact serious geo-political and geo-stratigcal issue.

As I said, because of KSA pressure on Washington the f-16 deal is now frozen. Saudi Arabia doesn't want to see such sophisticated technology falling into Aytooallat's hand in Tehran.

There is no pressure or anything of that sort, the F-16 deal is going oint along smoothly. And in fact IqAF pilots became so fond of it they want to ask for more.

We have no intrest regarding the blockage of the F-16 to Iraq, it suits it's current COIN requirements perfectly well. Besides we fly no F-16s and to compare F-16 with F-15s is very foolish, the F-16s radar simply can not even peak its head without an F-15 missile on its head if it came to that.

The danger from Iraq originates from the Iranian proxy Mehdi Army, which is said that Iran is prepping to be another Hizboullah directed at GCC countries since after the Houthi's failure the need for doubling their efforts arised.

It's not KSA pressure on USA to freeze the deal it's the USA policy who hold the the deal still they have there reasons for it I don't know for sure but it's in general they want to contain the Iraqi regime like they contain the others in the gulf turky egypt and so on while the Iraqis think they're mature enough big enough man enough to stay free from any tutelage!!! that's what it is.

What is there to contain?
Your country is barely holding on together, any spark & it will split to three countries.
You've just replaced one dictator with another for a cost of one million people .
You should focus on developing your country and society instead of your military.

There is no hope of good relations with the current Iraqi regime, look how Jordan helped them, but they turned the cold shoulder to us in many occasions:

The Jordanians have helped Iraqis by providing them with military and police training as well as donating military and police equipment. The armed forces trained tens of thousands of Iraqi troops and policemen after the U.S.-led invasion.
Jordanians have donated 250 armored personnel carriers to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense. The vehicles consisted of 50 Ukrainian-built BTR-94 armored personnel carriers, 100 British Spartans, and 100 American-made M113A1 armored personnel carriers. Jordan also donated two C-130B Hercules transport aircraft to the Iraqi Air Force, as well as 16 UH-1H utility helicopters.
Jordanians have helped train Iraqi security forces by hosting Iraqi police and border-enforcement training in Jordan. Outside the Jordanian capital of Amman, the first all-female Iraqi army military police company was formed and trained by female Jordanian military personnel. Royal Jordanian aircrews have trained some Iraqi air force pilots, and Jordanian noncommissioned officers helped train the Iraqi military's NCO corps in various locations in Iraq.

Alas the current Iranian fueled sectarianism may have been successful after all. Lord knows we as people never cared about Shias Sunnis etc. and it was the last on anyone's mind, but these things tend to surface when you are getting mud slinged at with horrid words such Wahhabi Kafirs, nosaibi or whatever new words they come up with.

It is like a white person calling a black man and saying "Niger why are you racist you stupid Niger you are so racist simply because you are black" it makes no sense.

Such ungrateful people, two millions sought refuge in Jordan. As for Qadeda, check who killed Zarqawi. Qaeda are much better than Shia death squads. You have revealed your real ugly face Malik.
