Soon to be shipped too Assad :D
;)

Though, I think they should add a FLIR sight similar to that of tanks + remote controlled on a humvee or a similar vechile like GAZ where the seats are used for the ammo storage. that would allow better usage of the heavy gun.
i agree , but that wouldnt probably be a big deal or a hard task . iraq himself can do such a thing with its humvees .

we also shall figure out the same for our APCs .

I remember Iranians blaming Hezbollah during the green revolution. How times have changed. Let’s see if you are still fond of Hezbollah when they come to Iran.
those who were accusing the Hizbullah were west's puppets, trying to provoke Iranian nationalism and attract sympathy, yet their desperate attempt failed miserably. they have already become history.

Well i am not an expert in defence related topics. Lets say Pakistani Shaheen-II.
Bro , iranian ashoura missile directly is comparable with shaheen 2 .

November 2007, Iranian Defence Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar announced Iran had built a new missile with a range of 2,000 km, the Ashoura missile. Najar said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has never aimed to launch an attack on any country. It will never do so. But if someone wants to invade Iran, they will face a crushing response by the armed forces." He did not say how the missile differed from the Shahab-3, which has a range of 2100 km.

He told the gathering Basij militia during the manoeuvres they were holding that same week that: "The construction of the Ashoura missile, with the range of 2,000 km, is among the accomplishments of the Defence Ministry."[1]

According to Jane's Defence Weekly,[2] the Ashoura represents a major breakthrough in Iranian missile technology. It is the first two stage MRBM using solid-fueled rocket motors instead of the existing liquid-fueled technology used on the Shahab. This would dramatically reduce the setup and deployment time for the missile and hence, shorten the amount of warning time for the enemy and increase accuracy. Jane's noted that while the development parallels Pakistan's Shaheen-II MRBM there is no evidence to suggest there had been any prior technology exchange or with its other known technology partners such asNorth Korea, India or China [3] The Ashoura was developed by the Shahid Bagheri Industrial Group (SBIG) under the Sanam Industrial Group (Department 140) which is part of the Defense Industries Organization (DIO) of Iran.

we all know that 7.62 mm bullets are used in guns like AK-47 and american minigun . so give u a perspective :
547777_501.jpg

the right one is an standard 7.62 bullet used in the worldwide known minigun :
the left one is obviously 12.7 mm bullet , used in both muharram and GAU-19 .

.

QUESTION: is that a FIXED mount on the truck?!? If so, then aiming is by pointing the rear of the vehicle in the right direction....

while a hummer is most of the times equipped with a minigun , its range doesnt surpass that of 1000 meters , whereas iranian vehicles equipped with muharram can enjoy a final range of 5000 meters . besides that most of today's modern military vehicles are 100% resistant to 7.62 mm bullets.
Most HMMWVs aren't equipped with a minigun at all. Typically a 7,62mm GPMG, a 12,7mm HMG, or a 40mm AGL. The M1025/M1026 and M1043/M1044 armament carriers provide mounting and firing capabilities for the m134 minigun, the MK19 grenade launcher, the M2 heavy machine gun, the M240G/B and the m249 LMG. The M1114 "up-armored" HMMWV, introduced in 2004, also features a similar weapons mount. In addition, some M1114 and M1116 up-armored and M1117 Armored Security Vehicle models feature a COmmon Remote Operated Weapon Station (CROWS), which allows the gunner to operate from inside the vehicle. CROWS is designed to mount on a variety of vehicle platforms and supports the MK19 Grenade Machine Gun, .50 Caliber M2 Machine Gun, M240B Machine Gun, and M249 Squad Automatic Weapon. The M1114 provides protection against 7.62 mm armor-piercing projectiles, 155 mm artillery air bursts and 12 lb (5.4 kg) anti-tank mine blasts.

Since day one, your typical APC (e.g. M113, BMP1/2) has been 7,62 ap proof . The BMP-1 vehicle needed to protect the crew from .50 cal machinegun fire and 20–23 mm caliber autocannons across the frontal arc, as well as from light shell fragments at distances between 500 m and 800 m.Welded steel armor of the BMP-2 provides all-round protection against 12.7-mm rounds. Front arc of this IFV offers partial protection against 20-mm ammunition. M113A3 APC is protected against 14.5-mm rounds

Here are pictures from a wargame in which an interesting mortar autoloader was show. I think it has not been posted here before.
