Iran publically hangs rapist

sir in rape cases there is a proper medical check up is done on female patient and the doctor or the medical report is presented as an evidence in Court and sometimes doctor has to appear as medical expert ( it has much credibility in judicial procedure ) in front of court .... the court can not deny the report of a doctor and now there are more advance techniques like DNA finger printing and DNA analysis etc that helps a lot and act as solid evidence

yes,i know..but did they go through all these procedure and find solid evidence against him and kill him in publicly???..

i have no problem in killing him public,but is it true he raped???

wat if some one wanted revenge against him so they made a plot and got him hanged???

Is it hard to create witness if one has money???

Wat if he was victim of a plot??

the only part that I'm very against it is 'publically'. I'm also against executions in general.

giving punishment in public serve a purpose which is to create fear in minds of those who watch it so that they think twice before doing same crime. fear reduce crime

hey what kind of evidence they rely on to prove the crime of rape ?
How they differentiate between zina(sex by consent) and zina bil jabar(rape)

there is a difference mate...we can not compare rapist, terrorist with person who kills someone in a fit of rage or one time crime bcoz of some majburi...

Terrorists also commit their crimes in a fit of rage....as they are brainwashed and think that the person they are killing are their enemies....and out of anger towards their enemy, they do it.

And as far as your "majburi" logic.....see my post #45
You may consider the "majburi" in rape cases as uncontrollable lust.....so whatever the "majburi" is, the perpetrator of the crime has to be punished equally.....If you want to give true justice, there should not be any leniency for any kind of "majburi", as all "majburis" are causing human suffering.

And as far as your "one time" logic goes, the person hanged in this case, most probably had done the crime ONCE.

Majbouri should not be an excuse of doing crimes..If we cannot control our anger or hormones then its us who should be responsible for killing or raping.. instead of saying that i was feeling wet after watching the boobs of random girl on road and was majobour to jump on her lol

The problem in west is that sometimes girls are over drunk and its sex by consent but later they claim that it was rape..

100% agree. I know as the law for example in the UK is governed by an unwritten constitution they set the sentances based on previous cases - the average time a judge is authorized by previous cases could be as little as 4 to 6 years - and for good behavior the criminal could in theory be out in 2 years. It doesnt feel or seem right. I commend Iran for having such stringent rules - even though i dont advocate the death sentance - this sets a presidence and will deter people from committing such a barbaric crime.

I dont support public execution whatever may be the crime.
He should have been hanged in some controlled environment like jail premises.
Also, I am against death sentence to rapists (except very rare circumstances). The quantum of punishment seems too much compared to crime committed.

actually all rapists should be hung.....I think Iran is doing the right thing here
