The majority of Iraq's arms came from the Soviets and China. Is this your scary arguments based on formulas of physics? Pity you. True Iraq was armed to the teeth by United States, France and Soviet Union.
This is conveniently contradictory and baseless. Saddam Hussein was in power long before Desert Storm and whatever arms he bought, he purchased them through an intermediary named Said K Aburish. So what did we 'gave' to Saddam? But when they were equipping their old buddy Saddam they took care to given him only enough weapons to fight Iran and nothing more.
Then what was the point of destroying Iraq's air defense radars at the start of Desert Storm if they were not operational?US air force advisers stationed in Baghdad provided Saddam with real time satellite imagery, but those supports stopped for their client once they decided he was expired and of no use anymore. For example, France had supplied a very sophisticated air defense system for Baghdad. When US attacked Baghdad, France gave all disable codes and designs to US air force and these proved Baghdad defenses useless. Iraq did not have any home grown technology. They depended on US and Soviet Union for that. Anyways, as was seen in the last Iraq war, there was nothing left of Iraqi army after 12 years of sanctions. But despite all this, US has not yet won the war there. It has basically delivered the Iraq to Iran. Today Iran has more control over Baghdad than US.
Sure......All these years the Jewish state continues to exists and dominate your thoughts. As for Iranian technology, it would suffice to say that Hizbolah, which is just a shadow of Iranian army using Iranian technology defeated Israel. A third grade Iranian anti-ship missile disabled the state of the art Israeli corvette.
Let me know when YOU can post something like these...So your lies are not equal to "laws of physics". You are a pathetic person who can only come here and throw around personal attacks. Physical laws are not your domain.
You are too illiterate to discuss what is being argued here on PDF.
That again...??? You can only hope that Iran would have someone as wily. This is what a truly determined country can do to invading US navy, evidence from US navy: Millennium Challenge 2002 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
What Iran lacks in air force, it compensates for by using ballistic missiles and cruise missiles/anti-ship missiles cheaply. Ballistic missiles are inherently difficult to intercept and ground/sea hugging cruisers are even more difficult to detect and destroy.
Not at all, during the first iraq war i was still active, nobody doubted the war would be spectacularly won. But that doesn't mean that someone else wouldn't do more damage with the same arsenal. The iraqi military was at best a joke.
For some idea of the greatness of US military equipment, see the fate of South Vietnam
The amount of population that changed hands from US fascist dictatorship to democratic socialism in that war beats the combined population that the US conquered in 50 years.
For the 'greatness' of Chinese Silkworm missiles, see Desert Storm...For some idea of the greatness of US military equipment, see the fate of South Vietnam
Twenty-four hours into the ground campaign, Iraqis manning the Kuwait Silkworm missile sites fired two anti-ship missiles at Missouri. The first landed harmlessly between Missouri and USS Jarrett (FFG 33). The second, headed straight for Missouri, but was intercepted by two Sea Dart missiles from the British warship HMS Gloucester (D 96).
Iran does not want to spend alot of money on its conventional warfare, no country can outdo the usa in that field ATM, however iran is making missiles and more missiles right now. you will hopefully see a decent fighter jet.Really? Then why is it that all Iran could do was modified the tail of the Iranian F-5s? Why not built an F-18? The F-5 served as the starting point and its fuselage influenced the developments of many later aircrafts but it is a stretch to say that the F-18 is the F-5's direct descendant.

Iran is not going to built an S-300 equivalent. Perhaps Iran can built something comparable to a 1980's S-300 or something from the early 1990's, but Iran does not have the experience, capacity and likely funds to built anything comparable to a modern S-300. The S-300 was not created overnight, the systems has went through countless upgrades, in fact I believe there are more than two dozen variants since the late 1970's.
People do not understand the complexity involved in such a system. The S-300 is comprised of multiple systems, and as so it has to have data-link. For the Iranians to built an S-300 they will have to have knowledge, in seekers, propulsion, radars, data-linking, electronic warfare, ect. And again this is not something that is learned overnight. On top of that Iran will have to have a decent semi conductor industry.
If Iran build something that they claim is the equivalent to an S-300, one has to wonder will it have the same hit probability? Will it be able to engage low altitude targets? Will it have the same range? There are many questions.
Not to mention they would need to build a whole new radar and computer system as well. Or maybe thats next weeks announcement.
you should take a screenie of their massge and report it to the modsGreat Iran will finish this in 2 weeks.. All hail Iran. No country in the world can do what Iran is doing. Unveiling weapons every couple of days that usually take years to research... *gasps* They invented the time machine didn't they?? The great Iranian Engineering done it again. All hail the holy everything Iran. To increase effectiveness of their weapons they should install advanced holy Hussien dirt from Karbala the dirt taking process can be a joint venture between Iraq and Iran.
Sorry I am saying this but just came back from a talk with a bunch of Iranians who wanted me and my entire family dead and kept talking about massacring the sand-niggers to rid the world of them so I am just blowing off steam. Yes I stopped down to their level but I don't care.
Edit: This could get me banned or something but I don't care I officially lost hope in Iranians today.
