Indian Special Forces Video

I think we have a much different system over here as "Each" Infantry Solider in Pakistan Army undergoes compulsory Anti terrorism and Close quarter battle training.

"Each" and evey Indian soldier before being deployed to fight insurgents or terrorists undergoes specialised training.

Currently there are two schools CIJWS in Vairengte,Manipur and other one(whose name i dont know) is in Rajouri J & K.These schools are very professional and foreign Armies send their soldiers to train here regularly..

MSMC carbine Looks pretty decent To me, If its fixed with under barrel granade launcher then it would be a Killer...

Yes, its impressive. Its a carbine with stopping power.

We will be phasing out sten-guns completely, restricting toys like MP5s to police forces, and equipping army, infantry, tank and heli crews, and specials with zittaras and MSMCs.

Specials are getting equipped with SIGs also.

Guys deployed in Tamil areas - what sort of training do they get?

Sorry i thought you were taking about M4A1 Carbine

No no, I was talking about MSMC Buddy

What is this term never heard of it really.

Ghatak training includes Counterinsurgency, jungle and Guerrilla warfare, specialized training like heliborne assault, rock climbing, mountain warfare, demolitions, advanced weapons training, close quarter battle and infantry tactics.. For the Army

@anathema

I was specifically talking about CQB not Urban or Jungle warfare but yes the field Rifle is very important that is why Pakistan Army is considering multiple options for Gun replacement - a gun that would perform multiple tasks and different threat environment.

But CIJWS is all about jungle warfare ....and nothing else. Soldiers in CIJWS train for these situations. Patrolling , conducting search raids , guerilla warfare , survival , etc. So look at the video and consider the place whether they are training.

If you look at the NSG training video or PARA's training video or CT ops training video for infantry men ...then you will notice that there are using CQB weapons.

^ Notice the short barrel , lightweight , light cartridge , integrated scope , Recoverable rail.

This rifle is suitable for Multiple scenarios - patrols -ATT and to some extent CQB too but i still envy MP-5.

Below Picture is Pakistan Rangers and you see that they are also using MP-5 just because its damn good at what it does.

I have seen these and these cant still replace your assault rifle. Assault rifle is best in some situations and you just modify or use it accordingly in certain situations.

Barring Tavor or i should bull pup (i use this word) rifle , i dont think any other assault rifle can be remotely used for both CQB or plane urban battle.

I agree with the gist of the post but entirely. INSAS OR AK is possibly the worst fire arm in CQB. However these are infantry man who are trained for CQB and not special ops. You cannot expect infantry man to cary a HK /MP 5 all the time with them when they are doing active duty. An Infantry man always carries with him his assault rifle be it Insas or G7 or AK. Rashtriya Rifles always carries Insas or AK with them for counter insurgency in Kashmir --- Para's has tavors or MP-5's with them. Its no different in Pakistan i believe !!

The school that you are seeing is probably CIJWS (i dont have confirmation) -- and is regarded as one of the best institutions in India. CIJWS trains batches of infantry men all the time.

If you train men in CQC then they should be fully equipped for it. There is no use training an infantryman in CQC and giving him the INSAS. Modern SWAT (special weapons and techniques) tactics are only just coming into developing nations armed forces.

Well, Our Upgrades has started we would be equipping them with better Assault rifles....

Tavor is one hell of a gun without any doubt.
I am in For M4 Commando - suitable for multiple roles.

I would want to see Our Special Forces Using FN F2000, just like the SPG

FN-2000 is a great weapon - one of its kind-small , easy to use / maintain , fits the bill and operates effectively in Most of the scenarios.

Funnily enough , the Main stay weapon for Special services wing of Pakistan Air Force is FN-2000:D

You would never have seen FN-2000 in action more than this video.
