Oh NO!!!! -- what are we going to do for our entertainment :-( -- Bring Amrullah Saleh back !!!! -- we Pakistanis protest -- give us back our favorite hater !!!!

Hilarious -- my account was suspended (I guess) after being attacked by Afghan twitter users.

However a man with 50,000 followers like Amrullah Saleh was suspended today -- I guess the Pakistani silent majority is taking the Twitter war to him.

Hilarious tweets on the subject:

Jokes aside just imagine that this shameless little twat was once head of "afghan intelligence" and mind you he was also the poster boy for the NATO/US forces , what must he be cooking up against Pakistan when he was head of NDS is anyone's guess

Look at the language he uses for Pakistanis , is it even remotely possible to work with people like him

These are the vermin that US and NATO nurtured for 14 years for "governing" afghnsitan , now reduced to calling us "Pakis"

India's finest moment against Pakistan ( by india's own admission ) came by way of supporting mukti bani terrorists , since 2001, for 14 long years the banya connived with these sold out afghans to repeat the same but failed , now they must be made to pay

We must never forget

The sad part is that he escaped to Pakistan to avoid conscription in the PDPA army -- it is Pakistan where he found refuge.

Credit should be given where it is due -- he is a talented and smart man -- it is just so unfortunate for both Afghanistan and Pakistan that he chose/evolved to use his energies against Pakistan.

If Pakistani/Afghan leaders/intellectuals had the foresight to work together we could be an economic powerhouse.

Hate clouds everything and the tragedy of Afghanistan/Pakistan is that hate has poisoned the Afghans and may now even spread to the Pakistani side.

Karzai was right: we are twins -- but twins enjoy special benefits and privileges that are exclusive to them.

It is said that even Zahir shah eventually bought onto the idea of a confederation with Pakistan -- only to be ousted by Daoud Khan.

The surprising thing is that eventually Daoud Khan warmed up to Pakistan but the hate he had sowed overtook him and his family before he could change his nations' s course.

Afghanistan/Pakistan is a tragedy that would best anything Shakespeare could every conjure up.

Nevertheless -- it seems that for the foreseeable future the children of Afghanistan and Pakistan are destined to stab each other -- cheered by newly labelled friends who claim to have a historic relationship with Afghanistan.

Life is ironic -- so be it

Brother, what you have said, is unfortunately a very simplistic view. Things like the Afghan elites hunger for power resulting in a rampant feudal system,.Greed driving it become one of the worlds biggest exporter of durgs, etc etc. Any social ill, that exists on the planet, exists there on a giagantic level. (Which also results in a trickle down effect for us.) This has resulted in them jumping at the beck and call of the largest pay check. National inerest, national pride, and decency are words only used in speeches, and newspaper columns and are non-existent in thier leadership, elite or society.

These fundamental flaws in their society, have come to haunt them over, and over again, but have they learned? Not yet, and not in the foreseeable future.

Pakistan needs to take a stronger stand and play a more pragmatic role, the "carrot policy" does not seem to be working, the result being the Afghans being thier ususal dogs tail. It's high time the "stick policy" is brought in, including sorting out thier sympathisers in FATA, KPK and anywhere else. Enough is enough! The millions of ungrateful Afghans should be rounded up and repatriated ASAP. We have had enough of their nonsense for the last three and a half decades, it's high time they were put in thier place once and for all.

Yes, unfortunately what you have said is largely true.

The question one has to ask is that the elites of Singapore, UAE had the foresight to see that in development they could prosper many times over -- the courage to see the big picture has escaped all us Pakistanis and Afghans. One should remember that UAE were poor beduins 50 years ago and Singapore was a sleepy fishing village. Singapore even sought to merge with Malaysia even though Malaysia is a Muslim majority country.

If fishermen and beduins can have vision -- one could hope that Afghans and Pakistanis can have vision too.

But alas, I guess for now it is time for a divorce -- if a non-permanent one.

It should be noted that the US was was able to befriend Germany and Japan but only after bringing them to their knees -- but that path involves immense human suffering, especially for the Afghan people.

What will be will be.

Except Dubai had tons of oil, and Singapore was at the crossroads of the worlds largest shipping routes.

Get real. Afghanistan is literally useless to Pakistan. The people there live in the 7th century. No resources, backward thinking culture... Best thing to do is just to ignore the mess that is Afghanistan...

Well Afghanistan has a lot of mineral wealth -- is a round about to the CARs -- Pakistan is at the crossroads of shipping routes -- Pakistan has the human capital to help with the mineral wealth. It would unify the Pashtuns and reduce the representative portion of the Punjabi population resulting in a more perfect mosaic of cultures.

It would give Pakistan depth and Afghans sea access. It would double Pakistan's landmass. It would give both countries better water and food security. A combined country would be the largest Muslim nation. In a few decades we could look at adding the CARs in a loose federation.

It has a lot of mineral wealth. But that mineral wealth takes money to dig out as well. So if Afghanistan has $1 trillion worth of mineral wealth, it would take $2 trillion to mine all of it out of the ground. And that's why a country should focus on HUMAN RESOURCES as a top priority instead of minerals, like South Korea.

Btw you are just daydreaming...

South Korea was as poor as Afg in 1950s... But they already had a CULTURE in place that valued education as a top priority. All afghanis value is weed...
