so it was Iranian after all smh. Saudi will take measures then.

Playing devil advocate here. Perhaps it was caused by some Shaytaan acolyte (Any winged creature who works under shaytan) who couldn't saw his Master Iblees suffering ?

136 dead Iranians, and 344 missing. Yeah, Iranians have nothing to do with disturbing Hajj at all.

@Serpentine Now I can say the MAJORITY (Literally) of the casualties are Iranians.

Thats racism and rude bro. Dont write this. As i said it cud have been any group ,here unfortunately perhaps it was iranian if its true otherwise i dont know.
And dont do this racism, everyone was at God's place where everyone is equal. Saudis and iranian bth need to stop racism against each other and stop being forever idiots.
And i am sorry for iranian and everyone's loss. Blackeagle dont pointscore on dead.

It must, Iranian pilgrimages have to be monitored closely and escorted.
be sure of that.
we all should follow the Indonesian way they are the best in organizing their people in omrah or hajj .

@Serpentine Seriously I don't know what to say. Friggin beyond belief. The problem with Muslim's ( some more than others ) is too many think like retards. The way to look at this issue is simple.Failure of crowd control which falls within the ambit of administration. This itself could have been because of (i) policy/systems failure or (ii) officials failing to carry out their duty and enforce standard operating procedures which should have been in place to prevent such tragedy.

Either way this needs investigating and full report prepared highlighting how exactly this happened and where that failure took place. If it was system failure then heads need to roll at senior management level and that would included political posts in charge of Saudi internal affairs. If on the other hand the report shows there was no policy or systems failure but officials on the ground failed to follow clearly laid out protocols then those officials need to be sacked and possibly face manslaughter charges.

The last thing we need is turn this tragedy into a game of international football with the ball being thrown first into the African team and then thrown into the Iranian team. That is bloody joke - Sorry it is not a joke it is darn outright criminal because by turning this administrative failure into politics they will cover up where the real failure happened. Thus the problem will be pushed under the carpet and some time down the road this tragedy will happen again.

This is typical third world bull*shit. That's why these type of tragedies will keep on happening.

@Abu Namr You, you take Gold with your silly contribution. I mean how in hell is that event back in 1980s have anything to do with this?

All I can say is one day there will more people like me, @bozorgmehr who take religion with chill pill and all our problems will be over. It will be like, I am Shia, So? I am Sunni? So? I am lost? So? All relax ......

Instead of this shite we can watch a good game of football and chear on our respective teams. Time I guess, lots of more time needed. For now we are damned to suffer.

I agree 100% on your sentence, "This is typical third world bull*shit. That's why these type of tragedies will keep on happening."

Even when actual ACTS OF GOD occur in certain "first" (I hate saying that) world countries, such as earthquakes or tornadoes, they still ask, "What could WE have done?"

This is not about racism or sth, it is about proving who was behind the stampede. If it was Iran, then Saudi Arabia has the right to monitor them and make sure this doesn't happen again, until then we don't want to see people crying over discrimination in Hajj.

Yes, in the West they do because ever since man learnt to cover up his privates his has been learning to control forces of nature to his own advantage. It is the belief that there is appropriate human response to everything - we only have to work hard to discover it.That is called progress. If you accept fate then you kill progress. If you kill progress you have enslaved mankind.

Then we are no better than animals.

There was no nation involved in this.
Im not the biggest fan of Iran but its obvious how Saudis try to blame their own problem on Iran.
Maybe one of the Iranian groups did violate the time plan but this is simply then the fault of the group leader there not of Iran or the Iranian people. That something like this can even happen shows the inability of the Saudi government to make the whole ritual save.

According to eyewitness account, incident started due to some Royal Prince motorcade, when road was block and tried to divert the hajji to another path...
As far as Iranian concern , they lost a Ambassador in Lebanon in this incdient

I say Iran because they don't stick to what Saudi organizers say... It is well known that their government instigates them against Saudi Arabia and "Wahabis" and encourage them to do their own rituals over there. In this case, what should Saudi Arabia do with such people who hate it and don't listen to it's Hajj organizers?, 1987 incident as well as this one prove this.

I swear to God I was expecting something like this from those fat failures of a human being.

Pathetic and childish counter attack by Saudi regime. They should at least learn to do it properly and not acting like a 7 year old spoiled kid.

@haman10 @Daneshmand @rahi2357 @Atanz @The Last of us

You guys should check this.

Mina, Asharq Al-Awsat—The Hajj tragedy that has left hundreds of people dead and injured was caused by a group of Iranian pilgrims who failed to follow instructions from Hajj authorities, an official from Iran’s Hajj mission has revealed.

Is this statement truly released by Iranian ministry or a mis quote?

The video will come out pretty soon-----.

Wow 2 incidents in a timespan of 28 years.
This simply means nothing.
Let me ask you how many incidents were between those two you named and who were there at fault?

There is serious lack or organisation here because Mina is heavily congested during Eid...with a rapidly changing land scape and there are no training videos provided in advance to the pilgrims. Saudi Authorities could do better by providing free video CD to every family when applying for hajj visas and make them pass a simple questionnaire to ensure they are well versed in the drills...even if a few people pass in each family / group...it could make a turn around in safety...
