Ghaggar-Hakra believed to be mythical Rig Veda Sarasvati river proven false

Funny urdu today is screwed in india... while flourishes in Pakistan.

Urdu is language of people among the rest 97% Indians, you always claim those 97% share no culture with Pakistanis, then why speaking their language and calling their cuisine as your own.:lol::lol::lol:

.
Informative article...To know the histroy, we should always be in open mind to read about critics too...Thanks for sharing....But how does it in anyway related to BJP.....People like BJP for its endevour for nationalism and patriotism in its policy unlike other parties...So it will not change even if Saraswati river exists in Himalaya or in Pakistan....Do you think people really care about it....

See this thread how many people deny the latest scientific research and would rather go back 200 years and even Rig Veda which is thousands of years old. Of course normal Hindus shouldn't care, they dont follow Vedic religion anyway. Its Hindutvas and PDF is full of them, they have rewritten Indian history for political reasons. And now when latest reseach clearly proves Ghaggar-Hakra isn't Sarasvati they dont believe it. Ghaggar-Hakra mostly exist in Pakistan anyway and some parts in Indian punjab.

American reputed institute have no stake, i mean they dont care if Ghaggar-Hakra was Sarasvati river or not but that's not the case with Indians on PDF.

Im talking about ethnically Punjabis, Pukhtons, Balochs, Sindhis and Kashmiris. Muhajirs who moved in last century are Pakistanis, but they have nothing to do with "Ancient Pakistan" history.

Punjabis, Sindhis and Kashmiris are the part of Indian civilization since ancient time and still the part of Modern Indian Republic.

Urdu language was invented, it borrowed heavily from Punjabi, Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian.

:woot: "Invented" "borrowed from Punjabi.":lol::lol:

General Shah Nawaz, was supposedly a cousin of his father.

Lol Gen Shah Nawaz was a punjabi rajput while shah rukh khan is a pashtun from peshawar..

P.S : Gen Zaheer ul Islam the new DG ISI is the nephew of Gen Shah Nawaz.

"No sane archaeologist call it Sarasvati Civilization, you mean Hindu scholars."

Ok. So let me begin quoting some people. You can also give them a read.
Note: I had to filter out exclusively 'Hindu' authors - though in India, that Hindus will write more is natural...anyway here it is

Thank you for the reasonably good revisionist historian bibliography.

Are you telling me 97% indian speak urdu? lol...

They are one of the remaining 97% India which share nothing common with you.

This one interesting reading.

My Muhajir identity and partition: A burden for generations – by Naveed Ali

So there I was in the line, my turn came, Rangers’ Jawan (Soldier) checked my university ID card (not sure if he knew how to read it, he could have hold it upside down if there was not my photo on it), looked at it, then looked at me and asked “Hindustani ho?” (You are an Indian?). Well, for few seconds, blood stopped in my veins, I felt a cold running through my body and I looked at him with so much anger that he took two or three steps back. I did not say a word and he handed me my card back, I took few steps forward and then came back to him, “I am a Pakistani” he smiled nervously

i heard its not even taught in indian schools... and as good as dead in india.

You heard it wrong.

@Joe Shearer sir's department

It was thanks to the robust objections of @Bang Galore that I stepped out of these two sets of controversies, centring around the Indus Valley Civilisation, and the AIT vs. OOI theory, to re-educate myself about the fundamentals, facts and theories alike. This is not the time to comment, as I believe that the best approach will be not through a wrangle on an Internet forum, but through researched, peer-reviewed publication. In summary, it is fair to mention that there seems to be no reason for any drastic change in the broad sweep of events, but there seems to be enormous scope for sociological and cultural explanations of the events of the times. There also seem to be unsettling lessons from south Indian history which have a direct bearing on north Indian history.

While there was clearly a river flowing over the present dried up river bed of the Ghaggra, this may not have been the Saraswati.

On nationalist issues, both Indians and Pakistanis are in the wrong - massively. A very lengthy explanation will explain why, but this is definitely neither the time nor the place.

My views on this are still very much a work in progress.

Again as i told, religion is matter of faith...It is a peoples perception....Do you believe if some one comes up with more scientific research about your religion and try to prove that there are loopholes in your religion too??....So no one will change their beleif in their faith whatever scientific proof is presented.....Forget about Hindus, if you can show me the instances that Muslims have accepted the loopholes in their religion and accepted in open heated way about their deficiencies?

Me,an Indian who is also a Hindu of course listen and hear patiently about critics of my religion..This is my humility to respect the person who made the research about it..But again...do not misinterpret me that it will at any point of time will be used to distort my faith on my religious books refers to...

Since Ghaggar-Hakra is no longer believed to be Sarasvati river all of above is also can be thrown to trash bin.

"Contrary to earlier assumptions that a large glacier-fed Himalayan river, identified by some with the mythical Sarasvati, watered the Harappan heartland on the interfluve between the Indus and Ganges basins, we show that only monsoonal-fed rivers were active there during the Holocene. As the monsoon weakened, monsoonal rivers gradually dried or became seasonal, affecting habitability along their courses. Hydroclimatic stress increased the vulnerability of agricultural production supporting Harappan urbanism, leading to settlement downsizing, diversification of crops, and a drastic increase in settlements in the moister monsoon regions of the upper Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh."

Fluvial landscapes of the Harappan civilization

If Ghaggar-Hakra is indeed Sarasvati then Rig Veda was wrong about it being fed by mountains and if RV can be wrong about one thing then it can be wrong about other things as well. So search for mythical Sarasvati river continues.

Are you joking or it is faking the history to prove Urdu is not alien to Pakistan.

You have no idea about urdu history or what it is which is expected.
