France & Pakistan to revive JF-17 Avionics/EW/Missiles deal as Indian MMRCA stalls.

Highly placed industrial sources have indicated to me that the deal for advanced Avionics, Radar, EW suite, HMD/S and MICA Missiles for PAF's JF-17 Thunder jets is back on the table. The deal was postponed after India removed Rafale from its MMRCA. Now that the Rafale deal with India is stalling, the French are willing to sell the whole package PAF wants for its Thunder fleet.

Indian predicted that Russia will never sell any kind of weapon to Pakistan but now they are ready to do that and even have offered several systems including SAMs & Helicopters, only time will tell what Russia will sell or not, but one is certain that in coming years Pakistani economy will be injected with billions of dollars and it will bring fruits for its military.

They are working together for some time now,im sure by now they teamed up in that field to.
Kamra delivered parts for the ANKA uav.

ISLAMABAD, May 13 (APP): The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra has handed over the first batch of Turkish UAV (ANKA) parts to Turkish Aerospace Industry (TAI) in an impressive ceremony held during International Defence Exhibition and Fair (IDEF) at Istanbul, Turkey.

After the signing ceremony, Muharrem DORTKASLI, President and CEO of TAI expressed his satisfaction on the skill and knowledge possessed by PAC, Kamra for undertaking such assignments, said a press release issued by PAF here on Monday.

He expressed that many more collaborations would be undertaken in the future as well.

Talking to media persons, Air Marshal Sohail Gul Khan, Chairman PAC, Kamra paid his gratitude to TAI for paving PAC’s way to enter into a new domain of commercialization.

He further said that it was the first step towards building up close cooperation in the field of aviation which will open the doors of further collaboration between the aviation industries of Turkey and Pakistan.

The ceremony was attended by Lt General (Retd) Shahid Iqbal, Secretary Defence Production Division and high ranking officials from Turkey.

The PAC Kamra has been exploring the different venues in aviation industry and affiliated production facilities and stands shoulder to shoulder with other advanced aviation industries of the world.

I doubt France would be dumb enough to do this.
they can and will make more $$ dealing with India than Pakistan.
unless Pakistan wants to buy other stuff from France like planes and ships.

they may simply deal with both, as they have done before.(if for some reason indian decided not to allow them to compete in any deal then that may be true but that willnot happen for many reasons) ..point is that French didnt wanted to lose MRCA by offering similar avionics and weapon package to pakistan, just like f-16 lost MRCA may be due to Pakistan factor.

i doubt its due to reason to appease India only, its matter of simple common sense. Had French gone through with advance avionic and weapon package it would have been no logic for India to choose the rafale. now that doesnt apply to ship and subs unless Pakistan is buying that specific type of weapon. similarly even if French offers us scorpion it wouldnt be a good idea to buy it as india already has it.

PS. keep out all economics. if we are desperate for a thing we will get it, even in 90s under IMF we paid billions to USA and french in advance for weapons we thought we were desperate for.
