Fire breaks out on Indian Navy's Stealth Ship

This is fake news.

The ship is stealth so how can you see it. The fire must have been just floating above water

It's called a democracy.
All incidents are reported because they couldn't care less what internet says.
lol Indian Media is reported to be the biggest not trusted media of 2017 lol
The ship is destroyed and sailor might have jumped in water.

It is good news they are not dead

I don't trust Indian media either.
But this isn't a media report.
Military is run under strict auditing.
Unless it's a matter of national security like a SSBN that seldom appears, everything is public.

I totally understand your distrust of militaries. ; )

Thank you Navy for reporting even a minor fire that resulted in zero loss truthfully.

This honesty is beyond the comprehension of those who'll populate this thread.
Its called... Desperation..

Hell we have all the fanboys riding on their Moral Mules.
Perhaps the IN has learnt the hard way not to cover up it's personal with an attitude.

Indian military might be telling the truth like they said that the Nuclear sub had minor damage but for a year the sub is not operational.

Like I added to that post, SSBN is a different matter.
Even the "accident" could be a lie and it was probably in the dry dock.
Never believe matters of that gravity, whether it's positive or negative.

It wasn't really a cover up.
It was investigated and found to be a rudder failure.
As for the Times Now report, we'll need to look into the details.

Patang baazi with war ships???
Only in hanuman navy...hehehe

Engine store room -fire-6 hours - no loss.

Must be so stealthy even fire couldnt burn it.

It was stealthy fire on stealthy ship doing stealthy damage. Now you need stealthy inspection team using stealthy techniques to make a stealthy report of stealthy damage then publish in stealthy media to be read by stealthy officials who will propose stealthy measures for stealthy prevention of any future stealthy fires.

Fire breaks out on INS Shivalik in Visakhapatnam
Kalyan Ray, DH News Service, New Delhi, Jan 10 2018, 21:56 IST

Indian Navy's stealth frigate INS Shivalik caught fire on Wednesday while undergoing a refit at the Eastern Naval Command headquarters in Visakhapatnam.

The fire that broke out in the frigate's engine store room was doused after nearly six hours.

"The fire was controlled in time. There was no damage to men or material. An inquiry into the incident has been ordered," a navy spokesperson said here.

Asked why it took six hours to put out the flames, he said the delay happened because of the smoke which made it difficult for the fire fighting team to identify the seat of fire.

The indigenous frigate was commissioned in April 2010. It was built under the Rs 8,100-crore Project-17 in which three stealth warships - INS Shivalik, INS Satpura and INS Sahaydri - were constructed at the Mazgaon dock in Mumbai.

The frontline warship participated in the Malabar 2017 naval exercise involving US and Japanese navies.
Wtf, how many naval incidents do you need to have in a year? Dude, can you train your sailors and crews properly.

Most important point.

NS Shivalik has thankfully reported no loss of life or casualties and no loss or damage to materials.
You believe that?. Even with damage to the equipment, India won't admit it, just charge it under maintenance and buy a new one. All fires will cause somesort of damage.:enjoy:

Do you really believe a fire raging for 6 HOURS caused no damage at all?:disagree:. The Indian self denial is really amazing.

Dude accidents and mishaps happen in every walk of life, specially where mechanised vehicles or vessels are concerned but the report clearly states that the incident was covered up for some three years.
The news report itself is severalo year old....did Indian MOD or IN challenge the disclosure made by Times now. !!!

Instead of criticizing the incompetence, a typical Indian would comment their comrades for their honesty.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I'm not completely refuting their claims, but I don't trust Times Now. They could just be reiterating something.
Nothing came off that report, no one else took it up and there's no controversy over it. The accident is counted by everyone.

So there's nothing to challenge.
It was attributed to rudder failure.
