Just wondering, when will be its turn to burn up, or capsize in the dock ?
.

Who told you about the complete shut down ?.
Disabled only in areas where work is going on .Because HD will work on the basis of IR or SD through smoke particles.Yup Safety officer would always present but if there is a fire break out they can also contain that like this one where other areas are not affected .

This is not a 5 storey building kid.
This is a Navy stealth ship where each and every part design for a purpose .
In this kind of system most proably they use water and FM 200 kind of suppression agent .
Some areas like this document areas they only use fire extinguishers

Under stand kid ?
NO, you don't disable it, you bypass or acknowledge the alarms. The reason being, a real fire could happen during welding, and you must maintain constant communication during hot works. Fire blankets are passive protection, you don't shutdown the any F&G system partial or full during such work. UNDERSTAND GENIUS?

A modern 5 storey building and a navy vessel follows the same principle, the need for proper F&G systems, the difference being process related safety implements that require different firefighting equipment. Fire extinguishers are a must within a certain radius and distance inside an installation/facility or vessel. You need to read more about different fire suppression systems, the moment you tell me accommodation do not need such F&G systems, I know you are either too old or too ignorant. Unless of course your Navy follows standards from a different era, like your friend there removing automated F&G because it was a nuisance.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
