Please go through the thread carefully, analyse and then post your comments.

All except the first squadron of aircraft will be built in India under full ToT. There is no question of "waiting in line". :toast_sign:

Hi

I searched everywhere even in Geo tv, network site, there is no mention of mmrca. its confusing because when there is a imp strategic news (Pakistan's perspective as well) it will be updated on internet as well.

Is there any other source on net?

We are entering into a security partnership with India: German envoy

New Delhi, July 7 (ANI): European Aeronautic Defence and Space (EADS) of Germany initiated a deal with Indian Air Force (IAF) for providing 126 Multi Role Combat Aircraft (MRCA) worth over 10 billion dollars.

Briefing media persons here on Tuesday, German Ambassador to India Thomas Matussek said this deal not only heralds Germany entering into a security partnership with India on commercial note, but was also significant from a joint security exercise point of view.

"We have decided that we wanted to enter into a real security partnership with India. It's not a by-a-client relationship but security partners with four native countries with the cutting edge technology for the next 20-30 years to come. So, it goes way beyond a commercial relationship," he added.

Bernhard Gerwert, CEO of European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company, said they had a successful meeting with the IAF and he is hopeful of encouraging response from the Indian Ministry of Defence within a few weeks.

"We have official request from the Indian Air Force, from the Indian MoD (Ministry of Defence), in particular, for the so-called multi-role capabilities.

So, on the one side, to have the air to air to capabilities and on the other side, to have the air to ground capabilities and that is what the Euro fighter is fulfilling. First topic is that India is asking as well for technology transfer and I believe that they are interested as well in the new technology in the fighter business," Gerwert added.

If the IAF approves and the Defence Ministry decides to buy this highly modern and futuristic aircraft, then it would be the fifth production base for the Euro fighter along with Germany, Spain, Italy and Britain. (ANI)

Abu ---

It will never end. The cycle will go on, it has been going on since the evolution of man kind.

As to why India is doing this ? Then this phrase aptly fits the situation--"If you want peace, then prepare for War"...this goes for any country.

why it is always some German diplomats always boosting about the project, like they r in lead, they will win, looks kiddish, this statements should come from the ministry of defense or the contracted companies

I wish the news was true...Typhoon will be the best...

SO...Your comments Guys???

That news is 100% fake or news channel don't know what they are talking.

First India have to open technical evaluation report.

Secondly we will open price bids.

And it will take around 4-6 months to decide.

Obama is coming India in November and then we will sign the deal of F/A-18 Super Hornet.

Guys just heard the news on GEO TV that Germany will provide 126 fighter planes to India, that means India chose EF Typhoon, if so, i think this is the best choice that India Made...

CONGRATS TO INDIA...

If this news will become reality toh apke "Muh mein Ghee- shakkar pra!!"

NOOOOOOOOOOO PLZ. i sincierly want rafael should win. hope it win.

The news is bogus.
Eurofighter: Home Now news here of any deal.

It would make sense for india to go for rafale as they are already operating mirage-2000 and france is going to upgrade them for iaf. Here I don't consider putting eggs in one basket its more of reliability and committed partner. but my personal view is F-18s are in picture for mrca. One of you said that india has deal with all participants of mrca but hear me the loss of mrca will make them to look for a customer in line you know well, but possibility not assurity.
