India is a huge country with 1.4 billion mouths. Even if 1% of the population, makes it a lucrative market. As a result many western companies or in some cased Indian companies bring technology to India to sell. Its nothing to do with Indian capability or invention.
Sure, incapable Indians farted from mouths & and were pushed 16 ranks up in Global Innovation Index.
You know stats speak louder than your mouth and your feel important syndrome, earlier over Pakistanis, now with Bangladeshis.
World Intellectual Property Indicators, India ranks 14th in filing patents, 6th in marks and 13th in designs. (Residents or NRIs).
http://www.wipo.int/edocs/pubdocs/en/wipo_pub_941_2016.pdf
India has filed 45,658 IPR & patents against Pakistani 886 and Bangladesh with 340 patent applications.
Similar to any upper middle income economy and
at least 20-40 times higher than any other third world country in per capita terms which's enough to tell about where India's R&D budget goes.
And for futile arguments by other Pakistani on forum that you are behind just because lack of patent offices,

Or I say an average Indian with equal facilities and opportunities is 267 times more innovative than an average chest thumping Bangladeshi with nearly no contribution to International IPRs, no R&D, yet comparing it's model to Taiwan & Korea.
If you want to know the Indian capability then you can just look at their Kaveri engine or Bhramos missile.
Can we look at your scooter engines? Or ya do need ToT from Japan from that too?
Kaveri is failed as it took Indian input in it
I will hail if Bangladesh can even make 10% of Kaveri.
Seriously, you guys even do know about basics of turbofans, turboshafts, turboprops or turbojets?
Can you make a single crystal nickel based superalloy for your engine blades? Or you guys are able to counter thermal creep and hot corrosion that you are calling India failed? Or even you guys have ever designed such an engine, leave alone realising it like Kaveri? We achieved 81.8kN thrust from Kaveri (against required 95kN) enough to drive a small plane and have a successful engine 25kN for trainers. Does BD have a 10kN turbofan?
whereas Bhramos is a success, as it is a Russian missile with Indian logo in it.
India's dual phase motors, pneumatic actuation systems, navigators, commands, arms for motors etc and newly made IR seekers, can you even define one of them?
Ah - proud of copying 3rd rate 90's Suzuki designs (itself a 3rd tier Japanese marque).
Yah, we were copying designs, that's why our own companies after breaking tie ups launch dozens of designs at a fraction of cost an year, pushing em out. If they would have stole IPR, before foreign company sewing them, Indians wouldn't have bought em.
You know what's meaning of R&D and designing.
