Decision to award citizenship to Bengali, Afghan refugees open for debate: PM

So what did you wanted? He should stick make this a decision and tell everyone to F off?
maybe you are not use to how democracy works but actually this is how its suppose to work and not like making decisions in raiwand and UK and enforcing them over the whole country without any debate. Case in point when it was done to extend Afghan stay by Nawaz while sitting in UK. Hope you learn to appreciate the good thing.
No, mate...it is not a matter of sticking or not-sticking to his stance...it was supposed to be like that right from the start. He never said I have granted or I order them to grant rather he said "they should be given a legal status" but because our nation has suffered from the stunted growth and has no idea how a democracy works, they all went berserk. It requires parliaments approval. So it will be debated and a middle point will be reached.

Bengali refugees, for instance, are here (in Pakistan) for more than 40 years and generations have spent their lives here without basic rights, when are we going to take a final decision regarding their future?,” asked the PM.
That's not true, Bengalis that fled to Pakistan due to the 1971 war and it's outcome were immediately given citizenship. Almost all of the Bengalis in Pakistan that are not citizen came as economic immigrants; seeking better opportunities in Karachi when the economy of Bangladesh was doing bad.

There were attempts to deport them during Benazir's tenure but this move was quickly put down due to pressure from religious parties.

This is not a uturn. As I have asked before where is the source of the News? It was a debate not a decision.

That's good, but he should change habit of thinking after speaking, He is Prime Minister of country now and his words carries consequences nationally and internationally.

Sir where is Imran Khan saying it? It was a suggestion given by our human rights department and Imran Khan was still discussing it with his party that what should be done for them.
Media adami kay marnay say pehlay jinaza nikal raga hai.

send them back you idiot PM . or next election we will send you to kabul.

the PM clarified that no final decision has been taken in this regard and the decision is open for debate.

Actually another u-turn but a sensible one. IK shouldn't talk casually over controversial issues.

He never said I have granted or I order them to grant rather he said "they should be given a legal status"

I was listening his speech live. He clearly said that "we are giving citizenship too..........."

From giving to "they should now".... anyways I don't doubt IK's intentions. He is sincere and always go for ideal scenario but at times, too quick without any second thought. He believes in his instinct but at times it may be wrong as well. For e.g marrying Reham Khan. He needs to relax.

Show me one country in the world which will grant citizenship to refugees who are not only abusing the system of host country, but also involved in terrorist activities within host country, and on top of that, dont even recognise the sovereignty of host country and consider huge part of its territory as theirs?

Afghans needs to go home, PERIOD. No ifs and buts. Even those who are born in Pakistan are also indoctrinated with Loya Afghan non sense. Unconditional loyalty to Pakistan is absolute must. No one can guarantee this with Afghans.

As for Bengalis, their case and circumstances are different and should be considered while having the historical perspective.

Hint: It's name starts with a P and ends with an N.
Secondly, stop generalizing, not every Afghani is a terrorist, the same way how every Muslim is not a terrorist.
They should have a nationality test for these people and the only the ones that pass get to become Pakistani citizens after they take an oath to the constitution with their hand on the Quran
