Decision to award citizenship to Bengali, Afghan refugees open for debate: PM

This is exactly I have been saying that no decision has been taken rather he expressed his wish and now it will be discussed and debated in the parliament but our stunted growth went berserk like a 3 years old kid after someone snatched the toys from it.

This is how democracy works. Perhaps you people are not used to it because until now it was all civilian dictatorship and muka-muka ugly jamhoriyat where his lowness the god father would decide the fate of the country alone. In a true parliamentary democracy all major decisions are taken through consensus or majority of votes.
Its not about democracy mumbo jumo or whatever, this was not applicable nor would it ever pass n i already knew it. Its about Imran's opinion as an individual, nationality to bengalis is debatable but in the case of Afghans its the end of the line. U were defending his stance back then n now when he has back tracked u are using it to come from the other side of the argument. In my opinion both pmln n pti supporters have a stunted growth problem, they cant think for themselves. My stance is always for the state, when someone will propose the good of it i will stand by him, when that same person will propose something that harms the state i will publicly shun him, i am not a big fan of personality worship. We need to start visualising our govts as servants who need that odd bashing to set them right n not the other way round. Imran was brought into power for a reason n those very reasons can see him kicked out if he keeps shooting off his mouth without thinking. To me, his apparent soft corner for afghans is an affront to our thousands of martyrs.

Pakistan has got the democracy first time after a long time i.e. since its departure in late 70's. So you guys are definitely not used to it...it is a new and a rare commodity in Pakistan

Nope, my stance is the same but you have a comprehension issues. I'm totally in giving citizenship to anyone born in Pakistan as per the constitution of Pakistan. I have more radical ideas than IK about it. But I always support the debate, brainstorming and proper home work so find a moderate and a balanced way.

Well as per the stunted growth issue, that's not applicable to me ..Allah blessed me with two very educated and highly caring parents who afforded me and my siblings the best education and health opportunities but still they taught us to stay grounded and feel the pain of others who may not have been so lucky.

My stance is always for the state, when someone will propose the good of it i will stand by him, when that same person will propose something that harms the state i will publicly shun him, i am not a big fan of personality worship.
That's holier than thou attitude...vanity and narcissism. I don't need to resort to such statements.

I think as far as I remember, you didn't even vote for him and I also remember your negative, emotional and angry rants against IK and PTI especially just before the elections. But still I believe that if he makes blunders then he will lose but mind that you're not representative of the whole nation.

To me, his apparent soft corner for afghans is an affront to our thousands of martyrs.
That's immature. I, PTI and IK value our martyrs and stand with our brave army and I think this is perhaps the first time when both military and the civilian leadership are not just on the same page on all issues, but have deep respect and liking for each other. I'm 100% against the ingrate Afghans like Hamid Karzi, Ashraf Ghani, Manzoor Pashteen, Mehmood Achakzai and people know my stance very well. But I not an idiot to generalise and give sweeping statement and play in the hands of our enemies. I have met a lot Afghans born in Pakistan and they are as patriotic as anyone.

lol, as far as u remember??, how did u assume my creed didnt vote for Ik???, im in Australia so i couldnt vote for him my self but my family back home voted for him, i practically forced my little bro to go out n vote for IK, that bieng said voting for him doesnt mean i will stand by all his idiotic moves, dont sugar coat things....., most of the Afghans i have met are extremely anti Pakistan.....,one bloke i met wanted Afghan army to conquer kpk....., one of my cousins in belgium contested elecs from liberal party and the local afghans there( who were there on pakistani passports by the way) ran an entire campaign against her for bieng a Pakistani, she won regardless but the hate stands. The list of infringements against the state by afghans is long and bloody. so dont tell me how u met some patriotic afghans all of a sudden just because IK has a soft corner for them.... Most of them are a national security threat and will and must go back to thier hell hole....The problem with my countrymen is that once they start supporting an individual they forget the fact that he is flesh and blood and full of faults and start worshiping him no matter what, the same mindset noonies had.
I stand by my conclusion that IK is honest and his intentions are in the right place, i believe he can do something diff for this country and for that to happen he must focus on things that matter, he must leave matters of national security and foriegn policy with the deep state cause he is rash and immature and lacks the street smarts and ruthlessness to ventrue in these areas. If he keeps up with controversial antics like the afghan refugee blunder, he will eventually find himself at odds with the deep state and in that case his end will not be much diff from other PM's and that will he a huge loss for Pakistan.

. . .
Very happy to read about this decision. Repatriation of Afghans is the only way forward.
