Dear Kashmiris: Only War Can End Occupation and You Would Have to Fight that War Yourself

I know it going to be very difficult to wake up these Dalit converts, but I think if Modi keeps rolling on his path this might happen. Pakistan should wish India even more Modi. Sort of drown India in Modism. That might wake up the testicless 200 million shemale Indian Muslims.

That should be fun to watch. Although chances are they will all run to Pakistan .... with Modi having the last laugh.

I disagree. I think Modi is a blessing for Muslims. Either become proper Muslim or leave it.

Doubt India will care about low level insurgency. Other option for Kashmiris is to go to full taliban mode. 95% of taliban victims have been other afghans, either civilians or government all over Afghanistan. Now that will change status quo.

Now if you want Kashmiris to fight million armed troops then wake up.

Afghan Taliban had weapons, training and most importantly Taliban are experts in IEDs (which is the main downfall for US/NATO). Taliban buy those weapons mainly from black markets and looting Afghan forces weapons. Kashmiris lack weapons and training; forget about buying or looting any weapons.

Afghanistan has porous borders with Pakistan and top Taliban leadership's families do not live in Afghanistan. So they do not have to worry about the safety of their families. Kashmiris do have to worry about the safety of their families. Also, LOC is heavily heavily monitored by India and they have thousands of troops stationed their, so its not a porous border; not to mention electric fencing etc.

Afghanistan has mountains which means invaders can invade and conquer Afghanistan but they can NOT hold for long. Pakistan Kashmir has mountains, whereas Kashmiris in IOK live on planer lands, so they can not hide.

Comparing Afghanistan with Kashmir is ridiculous. The only way for armed insurgency to succeed is Pakistan helping Kashmiri freedom fighters. For that to happen, there must be a limited war in Kashmir in which Pakistan destroy majority of the infrastructure Indians have built/installed on LOC and then we infiltrate guerrillas in IOK .

The title explains itself

Only way to end Indian occupation is war. A long war. An extremely bloody brutal war. A war where India and its military suffer fatalities. A war where Kashmiris as a nation are ready to kill and get killed. No stone pelting. No protests. No appeals to UN or Muslim Ummah or even Pakistan. There is no peaceful way to end occupation. There is no humane way to get freedom. Each and every Kashmiri would have to take it on themselves and act like a soldier or fighter to fight occupation and its forces. It would be a war to liberate village by village, town by town and city by city. It would be a war to capture your own neighborhood. It would be a war to inflict maximum damage on occupation forces. There won't be anything peaceful about it. Forget peace for next few years or might even at least 2 decades if you want freedom

You won't get freedom on a plate. You won't get it as a gift.

On other hand we Pakistanis would ensure that we fight side by side with you against the enemy. We would and are willing to sacrifice our people, our economy and our own peace for you. We would ensure that we fight at our best to help you in every way possible

But in the end it would be and should be you as Kashmiris who need to lead this war. You should start and end this war. You should be willing to give it all to end occupation.

You already missed a lot of opportunities. You missed the opportunity in 1947 when you listened to Sheikh Abdullah instead of Jinnah. You missed it in 1962. You missed it again in 1965. You missed it even in 1999 when during Kargil war India was in immense pressure. And with each missed opportunity the cost of freedom raised to a new level. You miss the opportunity given to you today by Modi government and the cost would go up further

You can't get your freedom by pelting stones or joining Kashmir police or voting for National Congress or PDP. Only a very painful war can do that.

The choice is yours.

This is the reality. And we should covertly support it as we have for decades --- but at a much higher tempo.

Europe was not liberated through peace and protests. It was liberated from clutches of fascism when Allies stormed beaches in west and Red Army winter offensive steam rolled fascist in east. History is testimony that nothing great has ever been achieved without use of force or power(it can be both hard or soft).

Also the US itself against its European overlords in the 1700s --- and this is the only way to present the morally justified and legitimate armed struggled of the Occupied Kashmiris.

Even Pakistan didn't come into existence without bloodshed

It is the rule. You need to apply force. You need to fight and die to achieve your freedom. You need to kill the enemy to make it feel the pain. To weaken it. To raise the cost.

Throwing stones won't raise the cost for India. protests won't raise the cost for India. Only war can.

This is the only thing that should have come out of the mouths of our Civ and Mil leadership.

*CUE BAJWA/IK FANBOYS SAYING THAT WE ARE TAKING THE MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE APPROACH AND THAT THERE ARE MANY DIMENSIONS THAT 'YOU KIDS' ON PAK DEF DON'T UNDERSTAND SUCH AS STABILITY AND ECONOMY.*

I voted for IK and I think Bajwa has done some good stuff. But our empty words and haphazard response was plain pathetic.

War of attrition will liberate Kashmir and nothing else. But I agree with OP that fire will have to be started from within.
Procurement of weapons may be difficult but not impossible. After all, IOK is the most militarized zone in the world which means there are numerous weapon caches, depots and convoys carrying munitions that can be targeted. A small, well organized and trained group that can devise and execute well thought out plans, can do wonders for the liberation cause. But again, Kashmiris must light the first beacon. If they succeed in doing so, the support from outside will flood in. May God help them in these trying times.

Why are you taking expensive measures like imposing curfews, bringing more troops to the most militarized zone in the world, banning internet and telecom? Pls go and buy Kashmiris cheaply..
that would be too easy

Fully agree. It is also important to know about the real assessment of PA, about the inherent potential and scope of armed resistance, by the Kashmiris. I have not seen anything in print or electronic media, about such evaluation. Out intelligence agencies must have made some such ascertainment.

I can only assume that intel assets are already on it. Conclusion of Afghan peace process will expedite the Kashmir offensive but the timing is the key.

Government / ruling class is afraid of war as they have much at stake, ordinary people will die for Pakistan.
Wars never come asking rulling class no matter how much thy dream of not to hve a war when it comes thy don't find any place to hide and suffer more thn a ordinary ppls?

Untill kashmir job isn't done nothing will happen to afghanistan problem no matter what America wants or pak is willing cause Thts the biggest bargaining chip in case of war on kashmir!

If aren't seeing any plans on media tht means, media been told to hold thier horses for now, cause more plans and practices going on the ground and will surprise enemy soon wht it thinks

I think that conclusion of Afghanistan peace process would take quite sometime. It has not even started yet. Whereas situation in Kashmir is worsening at a much faster pace. India, of course, deliberately chose this timing. So, PA would be compelled to take certain necessary actions now.

What do you think happened in 1965, when the Indian Tank units wanted to march on Lahore, and only the Rangers were initially there?

The people and army of Pakistan are one and the same. That's how you win freedom and wars.

Pak should recognize them a separate country... Help them train their own troops and army... Arm them with modern weapons... And let them fight with india who is capturing their land illegally

I think it may come to that: Push has already come to shove in Kashmir. Stupid Modi broke the status quo. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID! The status quo had worked for India.

So, yes, Pakistan should recognize the erstwhile IoK as an independent country. It doesn't matter how many in the world would recognize that state: How many recognized the Taliban Emirate in Afghanistan and yet even Americans were dealing with them for business contracts? Turkish Republic of Northern Cypress--hardly anyone recognizes them but they are being labelled on maps as such--independent state. Sort of same with the state 'Macedonia' north of Greece. Probably others in the Caucasus.

Details can and should be worked out but declare at least the Muslim majority areas of IoK as something like 'The Free State of Kashmir under Indian Occupation'.

India will not launch any offensive until they are finished what they are up to in IOK so ball is in Pakistan's court.

The highly literate and civilised lands of Valhalla gleam in the basking light of cold autumn mornings, where the burnt orange leaves rustle in the wind, tentatively signalling the start of the coming season.

Freedom comes at a price.

The people of Pakistan aren't afraid of any offensive, and will do exactly what we did before.

Totally agree,

Khuda nay aaj tak uss qaum ki halat nahi badli
Na ho jisko khayal khud apni halat badalnay ka

Kashmiri cannot have it both ways, that is, live a peaceful/settled life and expect indian military to f*** off from Kashmir. Kashmiris will have to "perform" if they want to get the freedom from Indain chutiya Brahmin establishment. They will have to show courage and grow some balls and should come out of their homes to defy the curfew imposed on them by indian military.

Pakistan will play its part but without collective participation of Kashmiris from Kashmir valley, the result wouldn't be as spectacular as both Pakistanis and Kashmiris are hoping for.

So Kashmiris come out of your homes and defy the illegitimate curfew imposed by the indian occupying baboon looking forces.

Bigger causes demand bigger efforts and bigger sacrifices!
