I would rather be mocked for being over cautious than being mocked for being careless and incompetent. See unlike Pakistan we are not a resilient people, if people die in India, heads roll, gaps are filled, better be safe than sorry.

And it was not a normal balloon, but a balloon big enough to show up on a radar.
