Amartya Sen: Modi should NOT be PM

The internet is in all countries, socialist ones included. Nothing to do with economists.

And I agree that the bubble ponzi economy is largely the economist's creation. Doesn't do them much credit though.

You discrediting ECONOMICS to put Modi above criticism?

Oh great dude!!! You know how a nobel prize winning economist works and what he is and is not good at!! Even a random forumer like you and me know more about politics that he- who has seen dozens of govt come and gone around the world knows. Coz he's good only at 'objective' things. Anymore insights buddy?

His Nobel prize is a gift of his Rothschild wife......and not for his economic theories.

A man who has married 3 times is hardly of the moral character to point fingers at others.

Dr. Subramaniyam swamy is a FAR better economist than Amratya Sen ......and has impeccable moral character and is an established Nationalist who has served his life for India.

And Dr. Swamy says vote for Modi .....that is good enough for me.

I said refute the numbers. They are available on the net. He didn't give any number. I did, and those numbers are available freely. Look them up. Lets skim over again:

He said minorities feel insecure with Modi. Numbers said that despite all the hype, he won 6 out of 8 Muslim majority constituencies.

He said health sector needs to be looked up. Gujarat spends 4.3% on health and welfare, higher than Maharashtra, and good for state its size and economy.

He said education record is poor. With almost 80% literacy which is much higher than national average, comparable to Maharashtra and higher than other big states, I don't understand what's bad about it. May be Mr Sen has different standards for Gujarat than rest of the India.

If you think I am wrong, use numbers, and prove it. I consider Amartya Sen to be an expert, but that doesn't means I will agree with him on all topics or he would always be right. He made a subjective statement. He didn't give any numbers, and numbers suggest otherwise. I have no choice but to take his statements as his personal opinion than an experts advice. Since you so much believe in him, may be you can refute my claims.

How many times he marries has nothing to do with his nationalism or his grasp on economy. Just because you don't like his views on Modi, you are discrediting one of the most intellectual Indian!

Seriously? Your analysis is better than his? Maybe nobel must have considered you instead of him? PS- education and lietracy aren't the same thing. He was the master of trinity so my advise is not to refute him on 'education'

Amartya Sen is not a "neutral voice". He regularly engages in "Hindu baiting" - a typical deracinated, left liberal, secular Bengali. That, an his inclination for socialist "Developmental Economics" a la the National Advisory council which makes him close to the Congree.

He is simply propounding his world view and his is not an objective assessment at all.

What I meant was the result of the economies, not the technology itself. Had it in the hands of socialists, we would be still be living the same way we were before 90's

Oh no... some body got the NaMo -nia ...

Now his life is all for posting anything negative of Modi ... & that in PDF .. so what`s he achieving over here??

If you are not voting for any party it`s ok ... write down the achievement of your favorite party & compare it with opposition.

As I said, if you see flaws in my statements, put them forward. Forget about him. I put forward some facts, if you think they are wrong, prove it. Lets just test the validity of my post, rather than his analysis. About constituencies won, you would find news in all major news sites. Education figures are easier to access, you can just wiki them. And budget allocation is on RBI site which I posted before.

Guys.. am ashamed of you people calling names just because somebody does not agree with your views, in this case political. I thought only bangladeshis do it.. now Indians have stooped to that level.

@Guynextdoor2 .. @arp2041.. request you to not use abusive language...

We all want good for our country, yet the nature of democracy is such, we want our demands to be met, our voice to be heard. Nothing wrong in that, but state it without abusing others.
