Better we promote our Pakistani heros who sacrificed lives for motherland in 1947 ,1965, 1971 ..

Babar , Timur lung , Changhez Khan were barberians cant be heros of Pakistan or muslim world.

Sultan Zahiruddin Muhammad Babur RAA was a hero and ghazi empowered by visions of Rasool SAWS and divine destiny to conquer our land and further push into Hindustan.

Changiz Khan was a kaffir and Timur Lang was a qatil. You are right about those two, but their lineages gave us numerous heroes and blessed rulers.

We cannot abandon the conquerors who came from Afghanistan and Turkestan to spread Islam and establish the identity which we so cherish today.

Berbers were also heroes of Spain and rule Muslim Spain for several hundred years and changed Europe from dark age to golden age, once you lost the war you will become zero like Berbers to barbarians.

And they have one of the most beautiful and honorable cultures in the whole world. Ever seen any documentaries about the Tuareg, simple amazing.

Ghaznavi name was chosen against India's Prithvi. Mahmud of Ghazni had defeated Prithvi Raj Chohan.

Abdali & Babur are similarly a political statement of Muslim India vs. Hindu India.

If you ask me, it is quite trivial to name missiles after people, whoever they may be or whatever they have done, and whosoever named them should have done homework first.

I understand why missiles are named after warriors even from central asia and not philosophers or Sufis like Allama Iqbal or Maulana.

Although Pakistanis need to get over the romantic understanding of these central Asian warriors. They did many things: some good and some bad...very bad indeed....
