Advantages and disadvantages of the FC-1 / JF-17 for BAF

Calm titas... we ain't getting no jf-17 and pakistan won't sell them to us either after pothead hasina's actions.... so end the discussion... i see this as a useless thread... rather we should open a discussion of all the possible fighters.... performance characteristics and differentiation of all the aircraft we have on table.... and which would be better among those to serve in BAF

Without Pakistans permission China can't sell the jet, the jet is also marketed by a joint CACTIC and PAC team.

Pakistan also has a 60% stake in the project, along with the production lines at PAC.

What balance you are talking about? Is it in the conventional terms or in terms of nuclear? Nuclear parity has nothing to do in times of real war. No country will ever throw a nuclear bomb against its enemy. If your hypothesis is true Pakistan would have fought and captured Kashmir, problem solved.

As a matter of hard reality, Pakistan is nowhere near India when it is parity in conventional military strength. Do not please flatter yourself. Note also that your personal hatred of BD does not stop Pakistani and Bangladeshi military strategists to think of balance and parity together vis-a-vis India.
Same logic applies to india.

Had Pakistan been weak, india would have attacked and captured Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

Unless you believe india which claims those regions has done nothing out of goodwill.

jf17 Turn Rate at high speed is good but it bleeds energy fast and at low speed is too low, meaning its a sitting duck. Apart from radar and electronics and price nothing too fancy about it.
Check recent live demonstration. There are some videos on Pakistan Airforce forum.

china has handed the full ownership of the jet to pakistan.... the chinese mentioned that. china has no say in jf-17 program anymore.... pakistan can sell it to india to attack china and china can't say no.... (not to be taken seriously but here is an example)

Wow even an idiot knows that delta designs have excellent instantaneous turn rate vs double delta/delta-tail thunder like designs which have good sustained turn rates...
And yes nothing fancy about multi mode radar better than the ones on mig 29

China won't sell fighter jets to Bangladesh without having Pakistan on board.

I understand this position. It is in the long term interest of Bangladesh and Pakistan to be friendlier to each other and move past '71. There must be balance to India in the sub continent.

Why should Pakistan give a flying hoot about Bangladesh when it's existing government is anti-Pakistan? Instead Pakistan should arm, finance and the train the Armed Forces of Myanmar whose military establishment has good links with China. This ummah concept doesn't exists, therefore, Pakistan will enact polices based upon its own national interests.

Go pick up your JF 17+aesa+pak training in sack and sell it somewhere else.

We have sold it to someone else. Both Myanmar and Nigeria have purchased these jets.

I think the possibility of China selling J10 series to BAF is quite high, and FC31 is only for Pakistan in the near future. China must unite BD to deal with aggressive India.

Pakistan is our most sincere brother, and We have nice relationship with BD as well.

Heard of the deal was cancelled due to strong opposition from India side. We at some certain extent shall understand Hasina's decision, cause BD is dependent on India in many ways. They will not go against India apparently to sacrifice its Very national interets. If they source fighter from China, Barahtis won't have a saying in it cause BAF is traditionally customer of China. You don't have to worry, Jf17 blk 3 will have a lot of order due to the influence Pakistan has in the Muslim world.

Brother the current Bangladesh Government is subservient to the Indian Government. Why do you think China will sell weapons to a country which listens only to India. Even the Indian members of this forum joke about how Bangladesh is another province of India.

pakisthan wont but china can..
nope they cant...china can offer you similar alternatives as they did to some other African countries like
advance trainer il-15
its not economical for them to produce jf, sell or train BD, if at all they want to , than it would be sub contracted to PAF. even this is unlikely as PAF is not willing to sell to BD due to political situation

anyway neither BD nor pak would buy or sell, so it is a useless thread

The Pakis are all going gaga over JF-17 just because they have some semblance of ownership over the technology. Now, here's the red pill. Had it been so good, you would've seen more orders from cash strapped air forces. There are lots of Mig-21/ J7 users out there who want to modernize but last time I checked, the queue is not that long for Jf17. Defense acquisition decisions are not solely done on the basis of technology. Financing is a major component as well. Pakistan itself being dependent of US, Chinese handouts cannot offer anything in that department. In addition, why would anyone buy technology from a country who is destabilized itself? After sales service is a major component. Myanmar, Nigeria both are deadbeat countries; dancing with embargoes, questionable human right themselves. Birds of a feather flock together. End of discussion. Quit dragging PM Hasina and your BS India complicity conspiracy theories. Pakis are obsessed with India (like a rejected suitor turned into a stalker).

Bangladesh should be strategic about its acquisitions. All things considered, procurement from Chinese source makes sense.
Isn't it funny a person from haseena land cracking a joke here.

There is an old Chinese saying "People with no brain have no cure" and this fits your description perfectly. What military equipment has Bangladesh ever produced? I'm not talking about the toy guns produced in your factories.

At least Pakistan has sold weapons to many different countries and we have customers for our jets. When you are insignificant in the region then its best to zip your mouth shut. Nobody in this forum is claiming that the JF-17 is the greatest jet in the world. In fact this thread was opened by an American who is probably Bangladeshi by descent. How is Pakistan dependent on US or Chinese handouts you silly little child? Last time I checked we are China's biggest customer.

You have a big mouth criticizing Pakistan on a Pakistani Defence Forum. But don't worry a couple of proxy groups and collaborating with the Myanmar military will teach your country a lesson. I hope the Indians can also kick out all the illegal Bangladeshi's in their country. This is a Pakistani Defence Forum, so we can discuss and criticize the ugly cow known as Hasina:) If you don't like it, then scram back to your filth. You can talk big in this forum like an arm chair general, but, you can't do jackshit for the Rohingya.

Wow. What a vile mindset. Think about the things you said in your last paragraph next time you pray.

What did I say wrong? Pakistan has every right to have an alliance with Myanmar when the current Government in Bangladesh is anti-Pakistan. If Hasina continues to talk above her station, then we shall arm, fund and train the Myanmar military along with proxy groups. The ummah concept doesn't exists. Next time you pray think of the poor Biharis that were killed.

Shame on you P*aki guys.........Shame

I can eat a whole bowl of alphabet soup and shit out a much better statement. Shame on your nation for supporting India against Pakistan. Now grow a pair of balls and fight for the Rohingya cause.

If you don't believe in the concept of the Ummah how can you call yourself a muslim?

The things that happened in past were wrong on both sides and for that matter whats happening in the world now is wrong. But the answers to these problems are in the Quran and Sunnah. Among these solutions is the Ummah concept which folks love to dismiss.

You Dear, really need to take your bowl of soup. In a quest of growing BALLS all the time, somewhere you guys lost something known as BRAIN.
Anyway keep up your work pal as "A Barking Dog Seldom Bites".
