What's new

87% Kashmiris wants independece

Such polls holds no ground, Kshmir will be in dirt once its taken out of india or pakistan, we all know pakistan or india wont give their kashmir to each other,

Both countries have suffered alot for this region, but most of all kashmiri are still suffering, this non ending debate is of no use. Kashmiri dont want anything they just want basic stuff, food , eductaion for their kids ,proper infrastructure , economic changes, political and religious stability.
And biggest problme is terrorism and this have to end first to make kashmiri live like human , then they can judge themselve what they want, right now they dont even know what are their option to want.

BJP manifesto calls for no special status to J&K

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released its manifesto for the general elections 2009.

BJP leader Ravishankar Prasad announced the party manifesto in the presence of senior leaders, including BJP's prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani and party president Rajnath Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Advani said that the manifesto is the BJP's way to build an ideal state.

At the manifesto release, Advani said that there is no need of Article 370, which means no special status be given to Jammu and Kashmir.

He reiterated that the BJP would be fighting the polls as NDA, despite releasing a separate manifesto.

"We have released BJP manifesto, but we are fighting polls as NDA. We will release an agenda for NDA after discussions with allies," said Advani.

Responding to mediapersons at the event, Advani attacked the Third Front by calling it a fallacy and denied the existence of a non-BJP and non-Congress government.

Addressing mediapersons on the occasion, senior party leader and former HRD minister Murali Manohar Joshi said that the Chandrayaan mission is a result of the Vajpayee government's efforts and the BJP will take it further.

Joshi also said that the BJP would try and remove encroachments on Wakf properties.

BJP president Rajnath Singh also spoke on the occasion, saying that the party supports the formation of smaller states, including Telangana.

Apart from this, the BJP manifesto says that no one will be allowed to touch the Ram Setu and a new route will be found.

The BJP has, in its manifesto, promised to provide rice and wheat to people below the poverty line at Rs 2 per kg.

The party manifesto also calls for better roads in villages and taking strict steps for bringing back illegal money in foreign accounts.

Addressing the issue of terrorism and Naxalism, the BJP manifesto says that the party will try to bring in a POTA-like law and will take strict measures against the Maoists.

The BJP manifesto also talks about the armed forces' demand of one rank, one pay. It says that the BJP will implement the same. In addition to this, the party also promises to try and bring in tax breaks for armed forces.

Apart from these, the BJP manifesto also promises special employment schemes for the youth.

wet dreams my friend. It's because your governments attitude in supporting these terrorists that forces India to take tough measures in Indian Kashmir.
Do you really think that just because of some protests were suddenly going to give up an intregal part of India ?Not in our lifetime
Keep your deluded attitude to yourself
There are no terrorists in Kashmir other than the Indian army.

As i have said from the start the indians will never come to a fair and just solution in kashmir......jihad is the only way.

All of Jammu and kashmir is our....pakistani forever:pakistan:

So why not have a vote and lets see what the other 10 million want.....or cant you risk that?
They are hostage takers. Kashmir is being held hostage. They are not interested in what Kashmiris think.

Can't understand what's so special about them anyway, other than being a huge money pit

If the poll truelly reflects the will of Indian Kashmiri's then India has no right to deny them independence since the territory is disputed by all standards.

What does the hostage taker do? He points a gun to their heads. India will kill each and every Kashmiri before they let them go free!

This is not a constructive argument Asim. You are equating the world wide respected democartic system of india to Taliban way of living. India have been telling the world/pakistan, dont take/make kashmries hostage by supporting terrorists..!!! That is the case asim, indian army is forced to suspect its own people due to these terrorists..!!! If guns have be withdrawn from the valley it has to be from both sides.. Give peace a chance bro..!!!!

Come on bro......you wanted us to stop cross border movement of fighters in kashmir and only then would you have a meaningful discussions,we stopped-mothballed the freedom movement the biggest adavantage we have in kashmir for you to do nothing in return but give us a bus in return and reinforce the LOC.
"Give peace a chance bro"......we have been waiting 60 odd years and you have not moved a inch.

Did we not move the extra mile to come to some sort of peace deal on kashmir as far saying we where willing to sidestep the UN resolution...stop the movement of fighters and we did not bring the kashmir issue up at international forums ect.

No I'm not. I'm equating this action which is indisputably nothing short of terrorist hostage taking. You can't get a clean chit on this terrorist act by showcasing your democracy.

It's like India's saying "So what if we do some terrorism in Kashmir, at least we're a democracy".

You're talking bullshit.Your equating this 'action' doesn't mean squat. After 60 years and spending countless amount of money do you really think India will just walk away from the territory? We've spent more money on security of the Kashmiris than they're worth. Were in this for the long haul
What your money is more important than 87% of Kashmiris?

India should be punished for spending billions of dollars to facilitate this hostage taking and keeping 10 million people in captivity, all the while conducting genocide by killing 10s of thousands of people since 1989.
