7 Bangladeshi girls return home from India

JESSORE: Seven Bangla-deshi young girls returned home after languishing in an Indian jail there for nearly two years, reports UNB.

Indian immigration police handed them over to Bangladesh authorities through Benapole check post on Wednesday night.

The returnees are Rumi Pervin, 22, daughter of Isahar Uddin of Jessore, Jully Khatun, 21, daughter of Abu Hasan, Mariam Khatun, 22, daughter of Abu Taleb of Narail district, Sumi, 20, daughter of Siraj Sardar of Dhaka, Hamida Khatun, 25, daughter of Ahmed Mashul of Rangpur district, Senoar Akter, 20, daughter of Imran Hossain and Anjuara Khatun, 23, daughter of Sultan Ahmed of Cox’s Bazar.



Omar Sharif, officer-in-charge of Benapole check-post immigration police, said all the seven had gone to India illegally in search of job two years back.
Later, they were arrested from Mumbai and sent to jail.



The decision to return them was taken following an intervention of the home ministries of the two countries.

Go through the legal procedure and we will take them back. Our citizen should be our concern. According to popular claim there are like 60 millions illegal Bangladeshis living in India. But still why can't their govt find more than a fee dozens and send them back to Bangladesh?

I still think India should build a wall on their border with Bangladesh.

If there were 60 million of illegal Bangladeshi,then bharati police should be arresting them in a tens of thousands,not 6 or 7.These type of minuscule arrest usually occur even after Anti-Bangladeshi vigilance going on there.Even in Assam,where entire affairs revolve around driving out so called illegal Bangladeshi, they could not find more than a few thousand Bangladeshi people there.Although they claims,1 in 5 people in Assam is 'illegal Bangladeshi'. These 'illegal Bangladeshi' means only two things in bharat.
1.Bengali speaking muslims minority adjoining Bangladesh borders.Thanks to naked partiality of Radcliffe award in favor of India.
2.Poor migrant from other states.Usually Bihar,West Bengal,Assam in Delhi,Mumbai or south India.
'Illegal Bangladeshi' is a term bharati use in randomly for anyone who is undesirable.Like the Nazi German term of 'untermenschen'.
