14 women return after jail terms in India

According to Bangladeshis here, they are poor gullible girls who were cheated by agents, they were looking for a better life and ended up in brothels. Off course agents can't work alone and there must be dalals in BD who's selling these girl with full consent from BDR/BGB. Probably some fraction of BGB(and BSF too) are bedfellows of these dalals. So how do you pious, moral Bangladeshis living in Canada, US etc think the issue can put to an end?

I am not saying that some were not cheated but most of the girls go in full consent of their own and they were prostitutes in BD to begin with. For the work they will head for Dhaka or Chittagong not India.

Govt is trying its best to stop any trafficing of girls, and thats why the law was passed with capital punishment. They also opened numerous facilities in India to bring them back home.

Morality does play a big role in BD and thats why HIV infection is one of least in the world.

Agreed !! Poor bangladeshi girls ILLEGALLY migrate to india to contribute in 76% sex workers here....Who knows some Rich Bangladeshi females must be comming LEGALLY for such 24% workers !! Research needs to be done !

The point of discussion is bangladeshis cross the border hoping to find a better career & life in India ( though they sumtimes become victims) which proves that Bangladeshi government fails to provide its citizen good jobs & living hood !

These 14 BD girls were not kidnapped and brought to mumbai ! They were Adult as seen from their ages & they came by their Will searching for better places in India ...

There is a difference between not providing job opportunities by Bangladesh government and on the other hand cheated by touts who promise themselves a too much lucrative jobs in India. I said earlier in one of the post when India is too dirt poor to ask its citizen to eat rats instead of rice, where farmer commit suicide for not able to pay loan and where 60% people has no sanitation facility, it never can be a good destination for better fortune. Bangladesh needs to make this less education poor man and woman not to fall in the "milk and honey in India" trap as it has more poor then sub saharan africa's poor combined.
