You know in the 1970s, Pakistani crimes involved daggers or rarely pistols. By 1989, the crimes were committed using AK-47!! When someone asked him to control the violence in Karachi, Zia said 'I don't have Aladdin's Lamp to curb the crimes'. This was from a sitting Army Chief with absolute power and full Western and Islamic countries' backing!! Never trust a mullah--whether shaved or not!

Well yes, but he is gone now and people had 30 years to change this country. Fact is all the elite is the same, they just dont want to change the power structure that brings them to power. Result is this.

No one wants bring reforms and wants to rule.

No, I disagree with you.
A society gets scarred from internal strife for decades. As an example, the Civil War in the 1860s in America left it's sinister marks for decades. A lot could be said about that and similar situations elsewhere. Pakistan became an abnormal country due to Zia. A lot has been said about his misrule by people more qualified than me.

As for your bolded part: Reforms are being made and as I see it, after Zulfi Bhutto, the current Prime Minister is the most reformist leader in Pakistan, for better or worse.

I respect your opinion, but I cannot agree with you.

For me elite has been the same. Bhutto actually started this vicious cycle of religion in politics and the effects of his disastrous economic policy is still being felt today. Zia was after all his choice.

I hope imran administration brings some reforms which he is to be fair to him, but he seems helpless against bureaucratic and judicial mafias. Lets see.

Wish Zia ul haq listen to Wali Khan at that time, even Wali Khan was a socialist but he advise Zia not to jump into the Afghan war. I have seen the destruction of Pakistani society with my own eyes, massive heroin in society, people show Klashkov with pride, corruption flourish like goodwill gesture and then Zia uncle gave us the gift of Nawaz Shariff ..... and afer all those social frustrations we end up in USA.... bass ji afsoos he kar sakta haan ... or kia karan..

You can jump as much as u want, Afghanistan is connected deeply to Pakistan and we will always want peace and good relations, we have had enough of wars and killings in Afghanistan and it makes things worse. Important to find out whether this was an attack on a team which was carrying out fencing, or on an outpost? I've seen both mentioned on media.

If it was a fencing team, then things seem to have escalated with the Afghan Taliban. Otherwise if it was an attack on an outpost, then it means the Aghan Taliban aren't keeping their evil allies in check.

On a serious note, people might not be looking correctly on the sudden rise of attacks.
Our conclusion to the question "why attacks have increased lately" is being answered by "because IEA is giving them a free hand"
Another answer could be, dogs when corned will lash out. BLA, TTP etc are being corned so there going out with a gung-ho
