2 Syrian jets shot down by Turkey

When did I say that ??

Assad must be supported, morally and otherwise, by every self-respecting Muslim because he is fighting the Crusaders who are being helped by munafiqs.

Lol if people like you are in india than I hope the Hindus finish you off

A placard in Idlib: for the first time in 9 years we're not afraid of a plane in the sky...

Many times when you praised Assad and his wife.

And many times you declared the beliefs of main stream Muslims to be untrue and urged us to follow Assad, Gaddaffi and Jamal Nasir's true "progressive Muslim societies".

i think Asad is a liberal ruler who not enforce his own religious beliefs on others like in extremist religious societies as happening in india these days

So you have a dictator and a wannabe dictator bombing each other and somehow you bring in India to it. Wow so much love

I think in Syria Muslims and other minorities are free to perform religious rituals and no one kill others on basis of belief or for being a Muslim unlike india .The problem of Syria is related to power and desire for ruling nation due to economic or political as well as strategic reasons

Western equipment seems to be much ahead of Russian in the last couple of decades. Cant recall one instance in which the Russian equipment came up on top.

Yes. They are under huge pressure every day from Western governments and their allies to remove themselves from governance of Syria. Nine years of continuous war.

Also, Asma al Assad could have easily betrayed her husband and gone away to Europe or the Gulf but she didn't do that.

Well, many Muslims now have become nominal Muslims who blindly go through the rituals - like prayer or Hajj - without understanding that Islam was a Humanist movement in its origin.

Please read this thread I had posted in 2016. It is an article by the Pakistani journalist Nadeem Paracha about Modern Socialist activism among Muslims and in Muslim-majority societies, from Indonesia to Somalia to Pakistan and many others, in the last many decades. This activism was the real spirit of Islam.

There was a Syrian Christian member here, @Syrian Lion, who once said that Syria before 2011 was a free society without much religious infighting, and people coming to know of their neighbors' religious affiliation only during weddings and deaths. Well, that statement provides the outline of life in Syria before 2011.
