they admired dhoni's performance as a batsman but they criticized him as a captain both are different things

I have to say I was surprised to see Virat Kohli given the ball toward the end--just to complete the quota for the 5th bowler, instead of giving to some specialist bowler. That--and the field placement which allowed plenty of singles to Younus/Jamshed showed a mindset which was too cautious. Bad decisions by Dhoni. He should have surrounded batsmen with attacking fielders to create pressure from early on when Y.K can to bat. Pakistan could have crawled to victory, given the low target, so wicket taking was far more important than saving runs.

Dhoni's mistake was introducing part timers too early same mistake what misbah did in introducing spinners early...the wicket was most effective for pacers when the ball was new but he didn't utilize it well, should have gone with dinda and kumar form some more overs coz anywayz kumar would have been useless at the end of the innings with his pace ...he is effective when the ball is swinging but dhoni sometimes try too many things ...he should better play with one more bowler

specially when ashwin too can bat that makes up 8 batsman...thats too defensive approach for a side that is known for its weak bowling

even Pakistan team with its fragile batting cant play that many batsmen
