Afghan and Mughal Invaders came to Sub indian continent for theft and lust of power . Why Pakistan Missiles were named on them . We have many muslim heros of soil for example Tipu Sultan , Dullah Bhatti and many Fata tribes mahsud wazir, khattak , Afridi who sacrificed lives for protection of mother land and independence .

Please share your thoughts !

Thanks,
Mughals were Uzbek turks, Shair shah suri tribe was belong to Rohri, a village in the deira Ismaeil Khan, Maharaja Ranjit Singh was from Gujranwala, Quṭb al-Dīn Aibak was a Khazakh so its a mixture but frankly other than muslim rulers like Suri etc, i consider Maharaja Ranjitt singh also a hero since he was the son of soil, he was a Jat.. since Jat, Baloch Balti and many other major tribes in Pakistan are nomadic people therefore considering their own race as a hero make sense but since pakistan was created on the name of islam it was obvious to promote the muslims heroes so the next generations of pakistan associate them on religious basis rather than race and cast

Pakistan didn't exist prior to 1947 genius.

And don't say that you meant people from what is now Pakistan, because Ahmad Shah Durrani was a Pashtun yet people like you still refer to him as a foreigner.

Lol exactly, Durrani was even born in Multan, these guys wouldn't know either

Dear , Islam dont allow capture of any country with war , Islam is religion of love and Peace . How can Invaders are muslim heros?

Hmmm, what do you have to say about War of Mecca?

Tbh, to me it just seems like Indics who can't handle Iranics or Mullahs having power over them. And I'm not even Iranic or a Mullah FGS.

Foreigners should have no place on that list---.

Ahmad Shah Durrani was not foreign, Pashtuns are literally our 2nd largest ethnicity.

I am from Gujranwala Pakistan, I don't consider any mughal shughal achievement as my or my people's achievement. Our sovereign history has started from 1947 when our country Pakistan was established, my ancestors had nothing to do with any mughal shughal type of people, they were simple farmers. I never understand why some pakistanis care too much about mughal rule or other turkic dynasty rules on modern territory of India like delhe or UP etc, usually the perverted number seems to be 800 years.
I can understand people being proud of the achievements of their parents, grand parents, relatives , friends or people from their ancestral areas etc. But being proud of the achievements of some mughal shughals in a foreign country india just doesn't make any sense to me.

Us Pukhtoons see it differently.

Us Pukhtoons see it differently.

You are free to think them differently, pakistan is a free country, I just said I don't take any pride in other's achievements and others include everyone expect my own direct lineage. I consider it cuckoldry to brag about achievements of my Neighbor A on my Neighbor B.

The reason we see it differently is because it was our people that were part of the armies that fought and conquered the Neighbor B, and thats why we take pride in our achievements and as we are now Pakistanis we want to extend that pride for the rest of the country no matter what ethnicity they might be.

Hi,

that is fine---but in Pakistan---there is no shortage of Pakistani heroes who fought with valor and those who laid down their lives for Pakistan.

Not everyone in Pakistan has a lineage like yours.

They're not going to set Indian minds on fire the same way Ahmad Shah Durrani, Aladdin Khiliji or Muhammad Ghauri do.

Should name missiles after mithais. Lol jk seriously though Gujranwala has killer mithai

As a Rajput from Lahori/FSD, I am very proud of my Mughal heritage and history. I feel very close to the those Muslim empires of old as they have left their footprints on this region forever. Pakistani Islamic identity was formed and strengthened by these great heroes of Islam.

When I walk in Badahahi masjid or take a stroll in Shalimar Bagh, I feel the greatness of my ancestors and their magnificience.

Or even co-terminous Pakistanis?
I understand why missiles are named after warriors even from central asia and not philosophers or Sufis like Allama Iqbal or Maulana.

Because everything else is already named after Allama Iqbal and Quaid e Azam.

Gujranwala doesn't have any killer mithai etc., Your thinking is that of an immigrant suffering from identity crisis and taking refuge in the romanticism of so-called muslim empires and what not. I studied all this rubbish in my school and as far as I remember we just use to study that history subject to pass the exams only, I never saw anyone ever showing cuckoldry to have any kind of romanticism about these mughal shughal type of rubbish that was taught to us in school mutalia pakistan books, no one used to take these things seriously but I have noticed that some children of expat pakistan immigrants in other countries have some kind of strange romanticism about these rubbish historical empires of few families from outside of pakistan. I remember our teacher used to laugh during these classes and used to tell us that it is shameful that we don't have our own indigenous muslim punjabi heroes in the past and the government wants to make some kings ruling in delhi and uttar pradesh as our "heroes", I mean it used to be a funny discussion some times.

The reason we see it differently is because it was our people that were part of the armies that fought and conquered the Neighbor B, and thats why we take pride in our achievements and as we are now Pakistanis we want to extend that pride for the rest of the country no matter what ethnicity they might be.
Can you prove that your ancestors ruled neighbor B, as far as I know Abdali and his troops were mostly made up of durrani pashtuns who were always predominantly based in what is today's southern Afghanistan, areas like Kandahar etc. The Suris and Lodhis also originated from areas around Ghazni in what is now Afghanistan. I think you are probably Yousufzais who are based in Peshawar, Swat and Swabi etc. Yusufzais never had any notable empire like Abdali durranis, Lodhi or Suris.
Look I will have no problems if our weapons are named after some indigenous patriotic Pakhtun from pakistani areas post 1947, same goes for Punjabi, Baloch, Sindhi, Saraiki, Kashmiri etc. The figures that we use to name our weapons must always be our idigenous heros that carried Pakistani nationality. Afghans rightly criticize when they say that they find it ridiculous that pakistan named a missile after the founder of their country Ahmed Shah Abdali, it is pure form of cuckoldry, I never understand which people decide what Pakistani weapons should be named after, but it looks like they tend stupid people suffering from some form of romanticism of others's achievements and not those of indigenous people of Pakistan.

Yes i am Yousafzai, with base in Swabi. As for the Durrani empire, it didn't just constitute of Durranis, all Pukhtoons were part of it. No tribe is large enough to be the sole presence of an empire. It was called a Durrani Empire because the ruler was a Ahmed Shah Durrani.

Also going by your logic, if Pakistan cricket team wins should only those people celebrate whos ethnic or sub-tribal people are part of the team and not the rest? For example when Shahid Afridi made a century, no other Pakistani should celebrate it except other Afridis?

It was called Durrani empire because it was founded by Durranis, in history books it will always remain Durrani empire, soldiers were just cannon fodder throughout the history, they were always available if paid appropriately.

There is a difference Shahid Afridi carries Pakistani nationality by birth so every pakistani national can make a connection with him. Ahmed Shah Abdali was not a Pakistani national, that is the difference.

You have no idea about our history. Maybe read up on it first. Also you mean to say every Pakistani soldier is also a cannon fodder.

There was no Pakistan at that time was there? But he was born in Multan.

But the question is why you care so much about that guy, what role does he play in your life, I mean the guy is long dead, he wasn't some kind of wali ullah that he needs to be revered by anyone.
