wtf! I've lost my appetite before Eid! Yuck. You should hav warned me about the images Skies. The first one blew me away.
Note: if you are faint hearted just turn off the images and read the text.

Nations complain: Dogs, faeces all over CWG Village
Doesn't look so squeaky clean to me:no: still we do admit we are not one of the richer nations while you shamelessly deny the millions of poor people you have, like we saw in slumdog.
Indians have big mouths and would pretend they belong to europe. But in reality they are so poor and they live such a dirty life! Unless they get rid of their JAT PAT Caste system, 70% of Indians will keep on living like that. Slumdog millionaire is almost a documentary. India should take pride of sheltering so many people in asia's largest slum.

Enough with the India bashing dudes. I can flood you with hundreds of links and stereotypes about your country. Let's get back to topic, shall we?

I don't about you, but I reported the troll long time back and he got banned. Now time to switch off the perpetual India bashing mode.

the thread should hav been dead anyway as the ULFA's are in stealth mode for the time being. I was enjoying the creative discussions though, that is until that troll came.

How do Indians act like that when this is the true face: Please go there and click on the 1st link. And feel better as BDman.

Bloody traitors.

See, two can play this game.

Yeah, thats not a pic of contemporary bangladesh, rather a picture of the war back in 1971.
One question, India is the self claimed largest democracy in the world, but aren't the people divided into 4 caste system? I maybe wrong but caste system is big no no for democracy.

PS: i dont hate india or have anything against it.. just a random thought

I can come up with contemporary BD pictures as well but that's not the point. One graphic image doesn't reflect a nation that too a nation as diverse as India.

Caste system like racism is a bad thing but we are gradually progressive towards a caste-less society. Could you imagine a Dalit prime minister of Uttar Pradesh 50 years back? Who could imagine a Black president in US of A 100 years back?

In my state society isn't divided or not in an extent of as it is in north and north-west India, by caste. This is the fruits of reforms done by visionary reformists and religious figures like Sri Chaitanya, Ramkrishna, Vivekananda, Rammohan Roy, Vidyasagar etc. I think in South also caste based problems are much less.

Edit: while mentioning reformists, forgot to give credit to Lalon and countless Sufi peers.

Hinduism divides people by caste. The government doesn't. the Government does all it can to equalize the society by providing quotas in jobs and education to the people belonging to the lower caste. India is more a class based society than caste. The caste is still important only during weddings which too is slowly disappearing.

that is different. Bible doesnt hate black, but the religion hinduism is based on caste system.

Theoretically speaking, Hinduism is based on caste system but it doesn't ask it's follower to hate other castes. Originally caste system was based on segregation of work and wasn't a birth right.

Although I'm not a specialist of Hinduism, someone more informative can answer you in more detail.

That's also a good point. Govt of India doesn't follow a Vedic law sort of thingy. According to constitution, every citizen is same.

And what do you know about caste? Do you know that it was an olden day economic reform that went rogue due to a few selfish so-called high elite? What different are the societies today? Which human society is not divided? Please don't tell me Muslims are united because outside this forum, neither are they.

Humans are born to create divisions somehow or the other. Even if something remains one for sometime, someone always tries to make a "different" approach and tries to be "different". It has always been happening.

Please don't blame Hinduism for your own ignorance of faith. 'Hinduism' is not a structured and dogmatic religion with a 'do or die' prophecy; infact this was a name given by foreign invaders. There was always one Dharma (Dhamma) and multiple branches of it due to which there are thousands of branches including Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism. There's no 'religion' called Hinduism which is only for document purposes.

It is a way of life. Every Indian faith is a branch of this 'way of life' that is why it has so many branches. For example, even though the king of Thailand is a Buddhist today (Theravada sect), the royal high priests come to train in India in Vedic scriptures. A fine example of these branches co-existing wonderfully. Same is the way with Bhutan (Vajrayana sect).

It is not so easy to make black and white distinctions just as it is in your religion. Please don't talk about religion.

This thread is about Bangladeshi government apprehending a terrorist organization and for which we are thankful.
