Wonder Of Sylhet | Beautiful Bangladesh Travel Film

. .
What a shame we lost you guys. I would have loved to visit East Pakistan as a citizen.

You are more than welcome to visit BD any day and will be made to feel most welcome.:-)

I am putting this up as some people feel that BD is just one flat delta and nothing to see or do if they ever visited.

BD has 4 major beautiful areas - Sundarbans, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Coxs Bazaar and Sylhet.
You have missed Chattogram district. This is the district contains every type of natural beauty, sea, river, lakes, hills, forest, waterfalls, lush green plains. Moreover it has big city, sea port, industrial zones. Some of it's natural beauty are captured in this video.

Yes it looks nice but I would not put it up there with the other 4 I listed.

Hopefully people from other countries can start to appreciate that there is lots of wonderful natural scenery in BD for them to visit and enjoy.

Once the infrastructure is at a better level and the country is generally more developed, hopefully BD gets lots of overseas visitors to these amazing places and they not only get a good holiday but BD generates lots of income from tourism.

Dhaka university campus areas are rad too! My favorite places in Dhaka. The trees are humongous

Hear hear! My words exactly. :-)

Most of the larger trees were planted around the start of the last century - so most of them are about a hundred years old.

This video shows just how beautiful that Sylhet is.

BD has 4 major beautiful areas - Sundarbans, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Coxs Bazaar and Sylhet.

We Sylheti Bangladeshies are proud Bangladeshies. But it saddned me to see Sylheti language and its unique heritage is being erased by Kolkata and Sanskrit Dominated Bengalism. Sylhet Division and its unique Islamic history (Shah Jalal influenced Islamic Heritage must be preserved). I do not see any powerful Sylhetis in Bangladesh are doing anything preserve its unique Status within Bangladeshi union. I only see few Sylheti Bangladeshi who reside abroad are interested in preserving its unique heritage and status within Bangladesh. What could be the reason?

Beautiful, Chittagong and Southern Banlgadesh is indeed economic and crown jewel of Bangladesh. I would like to see Chittagong become a global port city Like NYC, London, Dubai that would thrive on commerce, trade, real estate and finance. Linking Southeast Asia and Australia while keeping Sylhet division with its unique heritage and beacon of spiritual and scenic beauty of Bangladesh. Economy of Sylhet should be based on healthcare, and biotechnology, IT and education catering to its rich natural resources and bright minds among its diverse origin people.

Allah (God) blessed Bangladesh with seashores, at least Bangladesh is not a landlocked country.

Beautiful..... Bangladesh is really beautiful green and wild with beautiful beaches like India.....

Sunderban and CHT together gives a huge jungle land to Bangladesh almost 70% plus the size of Israel..... long live jungles... long live wildlife....

I think this will change as Sylhetis and BD in general becomes more richer and educated.

The main reason in my opinion is that the newly created BD came about as a result of the disaster that was the old Pakistan with it's multitude of ethnicities and discriminated against BD(former East Pakistan). Newly independent BD needed to create a strong national identity BDshi first which has now been achieved.

Our language thrives in the villages, towns and cities of Sylhet division but the script has been neglected with hardly any Sylhetis(including myself) being able to write or read in our own script. This needs to change going forward.

If you see from the other thread created by yourself, most Bengali posters are more than happy for Sylheti to become one of the official languages of BD and so there is general agreement that this is the way to go forward.

I think the script is documented in the national museum, I don’t remember right but it’s similar in some ways to Bengali alphabets and yet quite different

You must be talking about after looking at the beaches of some major cities or some tourist attractions..... or else believe me in India's thousands of kms of coastal lines there are 100s of beaches called as Ghost beaches by locals.... this I'm talking about beaches in Maharashtra, Goa and karnataka alone....

Otherwise if we talk about density of population between Bangladesh and India then BD has double plus more density than India Inspite of BD being many times smaller.....

Our latrine density is higher than India too so we don’t need to take a dump in the wild
