:bunny:

yum yum.

and how about the character of the reading ( voicing of it )?? :D

it was a amateur attempt of course.

That sounded dull, maybe you're tired. And static.

Go to : Audio, MP3 Shayari | Rekhta and find 'Ahmed Faraz' in the list and play his recitation of ''main to maqtal mein bhi qismat ka sikandar nikla''

1st read about this project through a poet's column around 2 month ago, who was in India for their Mushayara but didn't know about the site, and it's a knock-out.

BTW, it's founder is from India:
ss_small.jpg

Sanjiv Saraf is the founder, Chairman and principal shareholder of Polyplex Corporation Limited, which is among the world’s largest producers of PET films.

Sanjiv is an alumnus of The Scindia School and a graduate from IIT, Kharagpur (1980). After completing his graduation, he joined his family business in Orissa. In 1984, he ventured out on his own to establish Polyplex. Sanjiv has built an outstanding organization with exemplary values and ethos which are widely respected and admired in the industry, as well as within the financial markets- being publicly listed both in India and in Thailand.

An entrepreneur at heart, Sanjiv has incubated other businesses such as Manupatra –India’s premier legal information provider. Concern for the environment has led him to invest in renewable energy with the launch of a number of Hydro Electric Power projects in Punjab, Uttarakhand and Sikkim. He is an active member on the boards of various companies across different industries.

A humanist, Sanjiv takes personal interest in the company’s community initiatives, including the 1200 student non-profit school. Sanjiv is a voracious reader; passionate about Urdu poetry and has recently learnt the language. He is a lover of art and music.

I'm in Islamabad.

it is a well designed site indeed... the poem in text is actually a picture but the individuals words can be clicked to reveal their meaning.

a humanist is what the world needs especially in these last two decades of reactionaries taking over everywhere.

GOD save us all

nature keeps reminding us that it is present. :)

If he has the taste bud of an amoeba, i have the taste bud of a Borg.
@Armstrong does not realize it is not how much you eat but the quality of what you eat which matters. A gallon of cheap wine versus a good bottle of 40 year old French wine. Even then a sip and taste, same goes for how teas are selected and coffee or chocolate blends.
Exactly like that if the crust is small and it does not have chicken tikka on top of the pizza, it does not mean that the pizza is not good, rather it means that it is pure of additions, a delight to eat.
I remember when I was visiting Cairo I ate a shawarma there, compared to Saudi which is again close to the original, but the taste and style of presentation in Cairo was a world apart from the taste anywhere else i ate it. Want to taste Lebanese to see how great theirs must be.
Same goes for BBQ and turkey, the way they make their kebabs and BBQ is legendary, the taste is imprinted in my brain.
@Nihonjin1051 hope you were not hungry:whistle:
