Agree in present circumstances , even from jobs point of view if one wants to do job in middle east the command on arabic language is quite handy.

For defense purposes we want our troops to be able to speak farsi.
In my opinion Pakistan's mother tongues (Pashto, Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi and Kashmiri) should be made to national languages,
Urdu should be replaced with Arabic, so it is secondary language or lingua franca, and English should be removed as official language only a voluntary language.
So arabic = lingua franca (unity language) and pashto, punjabi, sindhi, balochi and kashmiri = national languages.
No way man. I can't speak arabic at all. I can recite Quran and prayers, but I cannot speak Arabic.
Than learn it.
My mouth can not make those sounds, habibi.
Mohabbat is from Arabic word Mohabba ( not Turkish origin).
The word Hava ( Air ) is Turkish word borrowed by Urdu.
Qanoon is Arabic word ( Law) borrowed by English as well although slightly modified as Canon.
while watching Fatih 1453 i found few words used in bengali -
Baba - Father
Shahi - Something large
Toup - Cannon
Shahmat - Checkmate.
Well we all know that "urdu" itself is a turkic word which means "military hoard" ......
Pure turkic origin words have mostly penetrated into vocabulary related to family relationships that I am aware of.....
Examples
Aapa ........ (elder sister)
Baji ......... (elder sister)
Begum ........... (Wife)
Tamgha ............. (medal)
Ailchi .......... (ambassador)
Atachi or atashi ......... (a representative of a country in a foreign land similar to ambassador)
Anybody else knows more turkic origin words being used in everyday life in urdu or other pakistani languages?
I would like to learn from all of you........
