Vietnam to Get Sub Fleet in 6 Years: State Media

Considering that Vietnam has always been a protectorate nation of China, it is not surprising

What amazes me is that some of our Vietnam friends actually think this will change anything. Well let me break it down like this:

1. The subs will come in 2017. China has come a long way on subs, with one of the most advanced submarine fleets in the world. We have operated diesel, nuclear attack, nuclear strategic subs since the 70s, as well as the Kilo class subs. Basically we know subs and we know the undersea maps of the South China Sea like our back yard.

2. China's submarine fleet regularly drills in the anti-sub exercises. This has been going on for many decades. The Chinese navy is no stranger in anti-sub operations.

3. Get real. The Kilo class is not that advanced anyway. Why do you think China has stopped purchasing it? It is not like the Russians don't want to sell. China can build better subs.

4. To train an adequate crew, and to build the infrastructure to operate a submarine fleet is a long long process that takes up to a decade at least. This means the 6 Kilo class subs for Vietnam, that has NEVER operated a submarine fleet, will not pose any threat until 2027....

So consider the above points. Is China worried, I don't think so, unless the Chinese military is retarded.

1/ we have the first one in 2014, it not so long time.

2.We don't use Kilos to fight with QIng, Yuan, we use to destroy CHina's war ship.

3.We've just modernized our Navy, so Kilos will be the first step .

4. Hehe, our crew can have training in Russia or India, so when we have Kilos, we can use them immediately

that is a Russian CGI on a Russian Gepard 3 which does have hangars for helicopters. The 3.9 does not have a hangar.

LOL. You can't just graft a hanger onto a ship thats not designed for it. The Gepard 3.9 is structurally different from the Gepard 3. The Gepard 3 is 2,100 tons and the Gepard 3.9 only 1,500 tons. Even the Russians themselves would not be able to it.

Also argue with facts not wet dreams like you always do. Its embarrassing.
