LOL. You can't just graft a hanger onto a ship thats not designed for it. The Gepard 3.9 is structurally different from the Gepard 3. The Gepard 3 is 2,100 tons and the Gepard 3.9 only 1,500 tons. Even the Russians themselves would not be able to it.

Also argue with facts not wet dreams like you always do. Its embarrassing.

The newspaper Kommersant insisted that the two ships to be built in Russia will not be based on the two unfinished hulls, standing since 1992. According to the anonymous source of the newspaper the construction will take place from scratch, laying down two renewed hulls. Gepard-3.9 was designed in early 1980s to fight submarines and surface ships and to destroy air targets. Upgraded Gepard will be constructed under the Stealth technology and equipped with modern armaments of Russia, including Palma-SU air defense system, Uran guided-missile system and Ka-28 ship-based helicopters. The upgraded Gepard for the Vietnamese Navy will use "newest Russian arms, which successfully passed tests and were allowed for export". Some claimed names are air defense complex Palma-SU with new optic-electronic system and the missile complex Uran. The tests of the latter were finished December 2005. The ship will have Ka-28 helicopter. There are some plans to replace standard gas turbines with more powerful engines.

You are. Pictorial proof shows that the Gepard 3.9 does not have a hangar which means it cannot service helicopters or patrol with them. It has a helipad which means it can hold helicopters for a while from larger ships in a patrol. This would help if Vietnam had any larger ships than the Gepard, but it does not.

Because it obviously doesn't. Nowhere does it say in the article that the Gepard 3.9 has a hanger. It says the package came with KA 28s, not that the export Gepards could hold it.

We're envious of the Gepards like a Ferrari owner is envious of a FIAT.

And why would the US do that? US has far better relations with Phillipines and have been their allies for 50 plus years. The more likely event is that US tells Vietnam to stop conflict with Phillipines and then crush Vietnam when it refuses.

Bcz they they're Tired now, there're many wars with US now, and China is very big trouble already, why must US make one more trouble with VN to get deeper in trouble ??

The KA 28 is a ship based helicopter. However the Gepard does not have a hangar which means it can only hold helicopters from larger ships temporarily. Larger ships that Vietnam does not have.

As for US the only class close to Gepard they have is the LCS which costs 700 million domestically and 1 billion for export. Thats more than Vietnam's entire procurement cost per year.
