NO, Laos was an ally of Vietnam. When China invaded Vietnam, Laos demanded China to withdraw immediately. Laos even allowed Vietnam to station troops in the country.

NO, Thailand gave shelter to the fleeing Khmer Rouge. The Thai were hostile to Vietnam.

NO, Vietnam received supports from the Soviet, we were not a client state. China received supports from America, did you a client state?
