@TheCamelGuy... believe me that a lot of people in Turkey doesn't even have an idea about the things happening in Iraq (they mostly hear stuff about Syria and it's mostly what is being served on the TV) yet there will always be people who will argue and won't agree with you. Majority of normal Turks know that Erdogan's foreign policy is a complete trash but they can't do nothing about it but hope for a better outcome somehow... Majority of people prefer peace and are sick and tired of all the destruction around the region. Yet it's all a matter of greed for power, money and interests with most big world players fighting for a piece of the cake so it's not only Erdogan's fault.
In reality me, or you, or her can't change the course of history by writing in PDForums or elsewhere. We can only argue, share our views, insult each other or agree with each other while feeling that we are part of something bigger while in reality politics are being decided elsewhere and we will never know what the real intentions behind them are.

Yet I wish Iraq (and all other countries in the region) to find stability and prosperity soon and I hope that relations between Turkey and Iraq will get better in the future.

But what is your and the vision of the average Turk on this matter(Kurdistan)?

Currently the KRG in Iraq is stuck in a difficult situation, on one side they want to run away an declare independence to escape the coming confrontation where the ISF and PMU will likely seek to overrun their trenches, Kurds are at a disadvantage here on many fronts. On the other side they wouldn't survive alone on political and economic fronts neither do they have the support/approval of any neighbor to take that road, the US is not interested in that either. As for Syria it is a bit of a different situation.

Back in the 90's and before we (neighbors of 'Kurdistan' concept) all had far more nationalistic leaders who often chose for a military solution to contain them, which worked only temporarily. Its different now, neither of the 4 countries who neighbor this kurdistan is choosing for a military confrontation aside from minor skirmishes.

Iraq should be united but because of petroluem in the north thats not viable anymore. To much at stake for Europe and Us. What do you think happen in northern iraq ? Do you think bagdat will destroy it ? and what about kirkuk ? what is the situation over there ? will Bagdat leave it to the kurds ? Turkish media is completly locked on the referandum thing we dont know whats happening in iraq?

I love how they are consantly watching Turkish border like a hawk and living in fear of an incoming attack. They know what will happen when their usefulness to US end: back to the stone age.

This of course is something that benefits Russia. How would US handle a more active involvment of Turks in the region? Will Americans risk a breakdown with Turkey risking a Russian-Turkish alliance?
