I believe that we actually need Pars or Arma fitted with MIZRAK UKSS or BOZOK that could move fast and move soldiers one point to another. which would be more hard to isis to hit it with an ATGM instead of staying in one spot.

We need FOB's. This was a VBIED attack on one of our bases, according to some twitter sources 1 leo was retaken and 1 was destroyed by F-16's. There is a video on youtube which shows the aftermath of the attack from a ISIS perspective. The fucks are showing off their new equipment and stamping on our flag.

The moment we started this operation we should have made it a full invasion making use of our militaries full strength rather than what we are doing right now.

Bro for the sake of god don't you see our air force doing nothing. Where is our attack helicopters? Ok T129's and super cobras in operations at southeastern Anatolia but what about the other cobras?

What are we doing there? 1.5 mil. army reserve we have but only e few hundred commandos and a few dozens of tanks even no surface to air defence.

What type war is this? If we aren't fight what that the hack is our guys are there? If we are really in a war why only a few soldiers are there?

Bro we must admit it that our political weakness is effecting it negatively. Still we are not allowed to enter in Syria full-scale armed units. For every single move, we give information to everyone and waiting for their ok.

There you go, that is why we DO NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY to steamroll anyone outside our borders. You see things like an accountant, on paper and solid numbers. But these do not translate into reality.

Our professional backbone is weakened through purges and now they are stretched thin along with the hundreds of casualties we have taken this year. Logistically speaking the military is now suffering an unsustainable turnover rate. We are loosing more professionals than we are gaining.

Reserves and conscripts mean absolutely nothing. Each experienced ISIS fighter in Syria is as effective as 10 of our conscripts.

We have zero attack helicopter capacity as they are required in SE. Our air force cannot just send 200 F16s to support the operation. The local airbases and the available manpower of the fighter squadrons in the region only amount to a small number of fighters. We do not have the capacity to sustain 24 hour coverage.

You see everything as number, Turkey has X amount of F16s, Turkey has X amount of soldiers etc....on paper that is fine, but in reality those numbers are spread all over the country and cannot simply walk away from their responsiblities.

If you knew the amount of movement that was required jsut to transfer some commandos to syria you would be ashamed at how static and immobile our military is at the moment thanks to the purges.

Wikipedia needs to update Leo 2 operators to include ISIS.

Our guys went in with too much chest thumping. Now the lessons are slowly being learned the hard way. Rule #1 is to always respect your enemy's capabilities. We do the opposite and then we get caught off guard.

There is an unblurred video of that scene by isis. There are no bodies lying there, just equipment. There was quite some blood in one spot in the video fragment, but it seems the wounded/martyred person(s) was evacuated with the retreating personnel.

We will overcome despite all of the negatives. The officer corps will be rebuilt but it will naturally take time. In the meantime we have to support our troops, come up with solutions to improve the situation and pray for the best. Don't freak out over a few tanks. They blew our guys away with a few suicide attacks then followed up with infantry and armored vehicle assault but we came back and kicked their *** as we have been doing for months.

We will only emerge stronger and will not be defeated.

Now thats the spirit. But we need to fix some things ASAP. We are very vulnerable and the enemy knows our weakness , the moment we create an FOB, we need to have that FOB on lockdown. We can't risk another attack like this ever again.
