chief of Tubitak Sage Mr Okumus says Siper B2 will get booster and range will increase 1,5 to 2 times. Current range is declared 150+ km, as you know when it comes to range Turkish sources always humble. when i look at the missile it is large and fast which can reach 200-250 km range, after booster implementation we can talk 350-400 km ranges (for large targets)

.
@MMM-E can we get a side by side comparison of the Siper 2 with the S-400, they should be in the same class right?

. .
Wich missile of S400? The one with range of 400km?

All the different missiles and capabilities would be nice for a thorough comparison, but the 48N6 which is the main missile I think would be great as well.

I had read a statement a while back from Ismael Demir that Turkey are about 5 years away from developing an S-400 equivalent, so was wondering whats would be announced next after Siper 2, and where there are still deficiencies.

IT is smaller then the 48N6 missile, they are going to ad a booster and the range would increase 1.5 or 2 times. You can say in 2 years SIPER will be like the SM-6 missile systems. I think they are going max range 300km and not longer, the main goal is ABM capabilities. Officially anounced that it is going to dubbel the range.

Turkey's first national helicopter engine, the TEI-TS1400, is on display at SAHA EXPO 2024.
Turkey's first national helicopter engine, the TEI-TS1400, is currently on display at the SAHA EXPO 2024. Developed by Tusaş Engine Industries (TEI), the TEI-TS1400 is a 1,400 shaft horsepower (shp) turboshaft engine designed for rotary wing applications, particularly for Turkey's indigenous T625 Gökbeyhelicopter.

Key Features of the TEI-TS1400:

  • Power Output: The engine can deliver a maximum output of up to 1,600 shp in one-engine-inoperative conditions.
  • Design: It features a two-stage radial compressor and a reverse-flow combustion chamber, contributing to its efficiency and performance.
  • Development Timeline: The project began in March 2017, aiming to reduce foreign dependency and enhance local production capabilities.
  • Certification: The certification process for the engine is expected to be completed by 2026, with plans for mass production thereafter.
The TEI-TS1400 represents a significant advancement in Turkey's defense capabilities, showcasing the country's commitment to developing indigenous military technologies. Its display at SAHA EXPO 2024 highlights Turkey's growing aerospace industry and its efforts to establish a robust domestic defense manufacturing base.
