I wonder that why naval CIWS 25mm but land vehicle with 35mm? What is the logic?
If 25mm caliber also able to be CIWS why they dont use on land vehicle?

I was wondering the same thing. The naval guys here would know better but my guess is its because CIWS on a ship is mainly to counter missiles, which usually are engaged at fairly close range, about 1-2km which is within the effective range of 25mm with AHEAD, so they might've chosen to have more ammo for the given space/weight @ 25mm, or lower weight, or maybe they want to be able to mount it to smaller ships. 35mm Korkut needs to be able to engage aircraft too so it needs longer effective range (4km).

AFAIK a pulsed rocket motor allows the motor to be burned in segments (or pulses) that burn until completion of that segment. The next segment (or pulse) can be ignited on command by either an onboard algorithm or in pre-planned phase. All of the segments are contained in a single rocket motor case as opposed to staged rocket motors. A pulsed rocket motor overcomes the limitation of solid propellant motors that they cannot be easily shut down and reignited.

The pulsed rocket motor is made by pouring each segment of propellant separately. Between each segment is a barrier that prevents the other segments from burning until ignited. At ignition of a second pulse the burning of the propellant generally destroys the barrier.

The benefit of the pulse rocket motor is that by the command ignition of the subsequent pulses, near optimal energy management of the propellant burn can be accomplished. Each pulse can have different thrust level, burn time, and achieved specific impulse depending on the type of propellant used, its burn rate, its grain design, and the current nozzle throat diameter.

Not using a rocket booster therefore.

You are grabbing one part of the sentence and commenting on it, take the whole sentence into context before dropping some wikipedia paragraphs. Dual-Pulse rocket is very much like a 'Booster Rocket' attached to 'Sustainer rocket'

MBDA also states some positive characterisistics of Dual-Pulse rockets;
  • No signature during coast-phase (UV sensors will have a difficult time)
  • Active motor impulse control on mission demand
  • Increased kinematic performance in endgame
  • Avoidance of high peak velocities
  • Increased range especially against highly manoeuvering targets

Simply not true. Historically, the relationship between Ankara and Tehran was never so harmonious as it is today.
that might be partly due to reza zarrab and the illegal gold trade...
buthonestly I don't care about breaking US sanctions, since they are comfortable with supplying YPG

CIWS doesn't need much range unless it's dealing with extremely high velocity stuff like moskit... but if a moskit is fired at you than your're probably fvcked anyway

and contrary to common belief, military planes and helicopters can take a beating. Especially things like an AH64 can take a few 25mm hits and the armor would most likely hold depending on the distance

Still hoping for an "Turkish" AH-64 like this:

We only have T-129 Atak Programm actually to fullfill the requirement and replacing some AH-1 Series & SuoerCobras.

But we do not have an Heavy Armoured Gun Ship like AH-64 or Mil Mi-28

We don't need them in today's battiefield.

AH64 and Mİ28 are cold war weapons that aren't efficient to deal with today's threats

even if they were, above drwaing would preform piss poor
that's heavy weapons load with the same power plant the loss of performance would be dramatic

I've said these many times in this forum

I just like the Design looks really badass :)

I think we will need something like AH-64, it was quiet Effective in Afghanistan (CAS & Support).

effective maybe, efficient no

Greeks have AH64Ds and last time I've read their maintenance was so poor their combat readiness was around %30 or so... maybe @amalakas could tell us more about that.

AFAIK is dual pulse is a single rocket motor. With segmented propellant.

Versus STAGED (see eg Saturn V) i.e multiple motors

Barak 8 is single stage, Barak 8ER has a booster stage (i.e. 2 motors)

so, was my question too dumb to answer or simply no one knows the answer?

Prototip üretimi tamamlanan ve halen doğrulama çalışmaları devam etmekte olan KORKUT sisteminin 2015 yılı içerisinde seri üretim kontratının imzalanması ve 2016'da teslimatlara başlanılması planlanıyor.

KORKUT Hava Savunma Sistemi askere kalkan olacak

Considering serial contract is still not signed.....it may delayed to 2017...(that's my opinion.)

yeah, i looked up SSM's site. they also say "Halihazırda, Dönem-1 faaliyetleri devam etmektedir." and give no info on serial production. thanks for the link

T-LORAMİDS cancelled. Turkey will develop indigenous system.
