Some article written by some western media about one case of Turkish internal affairs doesn't reflect the truth. According to the claim of that article, there are up to 20 million Alevis in Turkey, where is the anticipated sectarian war then? Of course, we know well that foreigners would love to see sectarian war in Turkey too. Fact is, majority of the Alevis live in central and east Anatolia and are of Turkish background. Minority of Alevis (probably not directly related to Turkish form of Alevis anyway) live close to Syria and are of Arab background. Turkish Alevis tend to be CHP supporters, though there are AKP supporting ones too, in other words, they don't support or create some separatist anti-Turkey party (for example like the HDP). Those Arab Alevis living close to the border, whatever their little number is, are not even relevant, even if all of them hate the Turkish republic so much to revolt.
