Pakistan has the reach and influence to punish Afghanistan for this. We dont need Afghanistan to survive, they however, need us and always will. We can make this painful. Wasnt there a hue and cry from Afghanis when the govt stopped accepting payment for goods in Afghan currency? That was nothing. If we stop exports to and imports from Afghanistan within weeks they will be rectally discharging blood. Try it and see. It will work. Of course we have other 'leverages' too.
